if he commited a crime: did he do it carefully in a way to avoid being caught? (or being charged with it?) but this way he committed another crime he was not aware of? and got jailed for the other crime? Did the (original) crime involve: theft? fraud? robbery? blackmail? tax evasion? Is the relevant means of transport: car? bicycle? bus? train? boat? Was the man's mobile phone relevant in the trial? as piece of evidence? did he store data on the mobile phone? to support his defence? but it turned out that the possession of these data was illegal itself? |

Yes. if he commited a crime: did he do it carefully in a way to avoid being caught? Not especially. (or being charged with it? Did the (original) crime involve: theft? fraud? robbery? blackmail? tax evasion? Maybe also tax evasion, but that is not the main crime. Is the relevant means of transport: car? This. bicycle? bus? train? boat? Was the man's mobile phone relevant in the trial? No. as piece of evidence? Yope. did he store data on the mobile phone? Irrelevant. to support his defence? No. but it turned out that the possession of these data was illegal itself? No. |

Like he washed his car too clean that the police noticed it and stopped the man to search it where there were drugs? No, he did something quite different which the police noticed. When he got caught, were drugs on in the car? Yes. if yes, visible from out of the car? No. Was he caught for the car was noticed? No. The police noticed something about his car (not really relevant what), but this was not the main reason he was caught. Did he kill someone? No. |

I'm stuck here... Was his car a normal, everyday automobile? Or maybe a police car? An ambulance? A truck with the sign: "DANGER. EXPLOSIVES" ? Did he use normal plates? Or some different ones (as reserved for the army, the police, secret service, the church, etc)? Was he driving on a one way street in the wrong direction? Was he going in reverse? Talking on the phone while driving? |

Did the police pull him over when he was driving? Were the drugs in his car at that moment? were they hidden? if so: relevant where? (in the tyres?) Did he modify his car in order to carry (hide, conceal) drugs? if so: did he fail to enter the modification into the car registration documents? Did the car insurance have expired? was the car due for the next safety checkup? |

Was his car a normal, everyday automobile? Yes. Or maybe a police car? An ambulance? A truck with the sign: "DANGER. EXPLOSIVES" ? So, no to the others. Did he use normal plates? No. Or some different ones (as reserved for the army, the police, secret service, the church, etc)? Yes. The details are not really relevant, so I will tell you he used "red plates" which are assigned for several purposes, especially for oldtimers and car dealers' stock. Was he driving on a one way street in the wrong direction? No. Was he going in reverse? No. Talking on the phone while driving? Yope. Did the police pull him over when he was driving? Yes. Were the drugs in his car at that moment? Yes. were they hidden? Yes. if so: relevant where? (in the tyres?) No. Only that they were in a place where they usually wouldn't attract attention. Did he modify his car in order to carry (hide, conceal) drugs? Possibly, irrelevant. if so: did he fail to enter the modification into the car registration documents? Probably not, irrelevant. Did the car insurance have expired? No. was the car due for the next safety checkup? No. |

Was he pulled over for a routine check? {Basically, yes. Nothing to find out here.} Or maybe because there was a sign that a criminal act was in progress? No. They probably suspected the misdemeanour of abusing red plates, but this is irrelevant. Was the police alerted by someone else? No. Did the police pull him over because of the license plate? Technically yes, as red plates are always a bit suspicious, but only in terms of rather harmless misdemeanours. Assume he would have been able to account for his use of red plates. was it stolen? fake? did the number not match the official numbering pattern? No to the rest. |

Is it relevant with whom he was speaking on the mobile phone? An accomplice? Like, his fellow conspirator was driving ahead of him and calling to warn him of the police control coming up, but too late? Did the police observe that he was speaking on the mobile phone? Was that part of why he was being controlled? Were they about to fine him for speaking illegally on the mobile while driving? |
