Hmm, Your Husband lent you a £5 note to buy a couple of Lottery tickets. You got to the shop, and realised that they were £1 a ticket. You perhaps find it unlucky to break something, and hence you don't particularly wish to break a £5 note in order to buy 2 Lottery tickets, so of course, you don't! |

Thereby incurring the wrath of your husband for spending his "lucky £3" which he had been carrying around in the wallet for the last twenty years?
Husband threatens divorce proceedings for spending his lucky money? L
But then the ticket wins £1 million, so he forgives you and you retire to live in luxury on a sun-kissed beach for the rest of you lives? J |
