Because Frederica had been in a fight 8 months before her death, Detective Gatewood came to realize she had been murdered. Her murderer had no connection with the fight. How come???? | ||

Did the murderer give Detective Gatewood an eyewitness account of an "accident" in which Frederica supposedly sustained injuries leading to her death, when in fact the Detective knew that those injuries were from the fight 8 months earlier? | ||

Did Frederica get some hair ripped out the day of the fight? If so, did the murderer know how she'd lost her hair? Did she start losing more hair gradually between the time of the fight and the day of her death? Does Frederica get into fights on a regular basis? Did the murderer know Frederica had been in a fight? Was her cause of death supposed to look natural? As if she'd been doing nothing but eating Mr. Pibb and Ramen noodles for months on end? (Yes, if that's all you eat, you WILL lose your hair and die from malnutrition) | ||

Did D.G. conclude, from the fact that F. died of thallium poisoning, that she had been murdered? or was there other evidence? If F. had not been in the fight 8 months before she died, would D.G. have been unable to: observe that she lost her hair? determine that she had died of thallium poisoning? conclude from this that she had been murdered? Did D.G. learn something about thallium as a result of the fight? Was D.G. involved in the fight? involved in breaking it up? Did F. start the fight? did she know the person/people she was fighting? | ||

Gatewood recalled seeing her in a fight in a bar, where someone pulled at her hair & it came out. Realizing it was not normal for hair to come out so easily, he suspected thallium poisoning.
