Do we need to know why the gunman is chasing the fat guy? Is there something which obscures the fat guy from view, other than the tree? Is it a subtantial object? or insubstantial? (eg shadow?) Does the gunman know the fat guy is hiding behind the tree? Does he think he is somewhere else? Does he aim at the spot he thinks the fat guy is? Or does he just fire a wild shot? Visual illusion? Is part of the tree underwater, and so refraction of light comes into play? | ||

Mike-- No, the fat guy is the one near enough to touch the tree, nothing's said about the gunman.. Does Garet know that the gunman cannnot see him? Is Ivan disturbed when shooting? Is the gun of the arm moved when shooting? (other than normal firing action, recoil, etc). At the instant the bullet leaves the gun, if normal circumstances were to prevail, would the bullet hit Garet? Would it hit the tree? | ||
