He lost his girlfriend? boyfriend? other friend? He and his team lost the series? Did he loose money? Since he played so well, the opponents decided to 'take him out' by tackling him really roughly? Or he got a red/yellow card and couldn't play for the next match/couple of matches? Or maybe he was so good at playing by the rules but at the same time being as close as possible to breaking them, in that way gaining maximal advantage, that he was outed due to a erroneous judgement by the referee? (for example, being almost offside in soccer) Or, because he played so well, the manager didn't want him to play in some game after that which they believed they would win anyway? (i.e. because he was tired after giving so much in this game, and should rest for some more important game after that? or so that he wouldn't get injuried?) The sport: ice hockey? soccer? American football? basketball? cricket? baseball? rugby? canoeing? Oh wait, maybe it's stupid to recount all kinds of sports like that. Is it a ball game? Athletics? Is it normally thought of as a team game? |

Was it negative for him to loose the thing that he lost? Could it be said at all that he lost a 'thing'? Hmm... because he played so well, he lost his virginity... He lost a body part? A piece of equipment? insurance? his sense of humour? his innocence? status? his job? Something related to health? Do we need to know anything specific about American football at all? (I don't) |

He lost his life? His place in the team? His team yopishly also lost... Did they loose him? He noishly lost the game... Did his team loose the game? He and his team noishly to yopishly lost the series... Did his team loose the series? Did he loose the series? Perhaps they weren't expected to get that far in the series anyway? Or at least his loosing the sought after X wasn't directly the cause of them loosing the series? (if they indeed did) |

is he on/a part of more than one team? YES is actual physical american football the only activity involved? NO is he a professional?yes college?no amateur player? no was he a pro also playing in a fantasy league,YES and his opponent that week had him on his team? (sorry about the pronouns there, i'll call him woody and try again). Was Woody a pro, who had a fantasy team, and was playing against Bo, and Bo had Woody on his fantasy team?YES!!! ***************SPOILER******************* Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley told The Washington Post in August that his brilliant performance in a December game (three touchdowns against Dallas to get to the NFL playoffs) was also the very reason that his own fantasy football team was knocked from the playoffs, in that "Chris Cooley" plays for one of his opponents. Good job Mani for closing in and Stuccosalt for the kill! My puzzles are getting solved faster than I can think of new ones lately!! Why not try your hand at my other 2! |
