I just wondered if they were angry at him as an individual i.e. angry at HIM speicifically, or if they didn't know him and therefore were just angry that no one had done it, but I think you answered that in the last question was he on strike? did he provide a public service? is he a garbage man? street cleaner? postman? | ||

His children were loud and unruly, and were annoying the other passengers in the car. A fellow, equally irritated as others, asked the man if there was something he could do about his children. The man came out of his daze, and agreed...adding that he and his children just came out of the hospital where his wife died recently, and his children were probably at a loss over how to react to this fact as much as he was. The anger in the subway car changed to sympathy for the man and his children, and the fellow passengers regretted passing judgement prematurely. | ||
