Yet she declared all her items, but you said yope to her honestly declaring everything she knew about. Correct? Is the yope to q.2 because she didn't actually pay anything? Or is there more to it? Is it relevant what the items are? Is there something relevant and specific about Kana we need to find out? Is there something in the document that states this information? If she had shown the customs official the document, she would have had to pay over a 1000$ to him? Or to someone at the airport? Or was it an indirect but consequential expense? When you say she was lazy, did she knowingly shirk the task of declaring the paper? Or is laziness closer to "ignorant and lax in obtaining information"? Is the money she would have had to pay in the form of customs duty? a penalty? some other surcharge? Was she carrying these things on her person? Were they germs inside her? She didn't have a calculator with her & she couldn't face the prospect of adding up over 50 prices so she didn't. At customs, the following discussion ensued: Customs official: What's the total? K: I'm sorry; I didn't add it up. CO: Make an estimate. K: At least $5000. Maybe over $6000. CO: How much was the most expensive item? K: About $430 in American money.
