I always thought that in order to get text from the keyboard into the computer, and to have the computer transfer said text to another computer, one would neeed at least one piece of software. Am I wrong? Or is there one or more erroneous assumptions in what I've written above? Did you teamwork with the others? Was this a contest between you and the others? Were there teams? | ||

So, is this about a puzzle which you hosted? yes, exactly! And you thought that questions posted to the puzzle would be easy to answer? bingo! But people asked questions in such a way that they were not very easy to answer? i'm not sure how to answer this one, hee hee...yes, you are correct! If so, welcome to the world of lateral puzzles!thanks! that is a spoiler--boy that went fast! When I started the lateral forum, I first decided to play some of the puzzles and ask questions, getting a feel for how everything ran, learning the lingo, etc. I had a couple of ideas and decided to post a couple of puzzles myself. I had in my head what people might ask, how I would answer, etc. Basically, since I already knew the answer, I forgot people who didn't know it would be on different tracks. I didn't want to give away too many hints (I know the members are smart and can figure out a lot), also I wanted to spoil when it was the right time to spoil and not too early by accident. When the first set of questions came in, I was like, how do I answer these?!? Or, oh man, I made first statement too vague--I'll have to rewrite it...so, I started to feel nervous since it wasn't as easy as it looked--but once the puzzle was spoiled, I thought, "whew (and wow) that was fun" so I decided to do another one, and thus the vicious circle started again! Thanks to crazypalpig for figuring out I was talking about the ltpf (funny enough, when I first saw this acronym, I thought "what does this mean"? I'm glad I figured it out before asking in the chatroom!) And thanks to Abc for figuring out the puzzle and asking some good (but nervewracking : ) ) questions ! *************** SPOILER ************** |
