I'm guessing Eli figured that you wouldn't be referring to a human adult female as "he"... Is he famous? a specific historical personage? a well-known person from the past? a person who's currently no longer living? a person who was never in actual fact living, but about whom there are tales told in some form or another? a person who may/may not have lived in actual fact but about whom their are tales told in one form or another? A person who (real or fictional) was from Europe? the UK? France? Germany? Spain? Italy? From the US of A? From some other 'merican country? From some Asian country? China? Russia? from Africa? Did anyone know that he had "the answer to today's world"? Does anyone know now? Has his solution been implemented? Did he in fact have the answer? He: aristotle? galileo? newton? jesus? mohammed? shakespeare? |

would implementing "the answer" involve killing anyone? confiscating anyone's property? changing any laws? So are we looking for a quote from one of Will's plays which will tell us something about something that might solve some modern day problem? like... global warming? pollution? urban overcrowding? junk mail? computer viruses? Did this problem exist last week? last year? 5 years ago? 10? 20? 30? 50? 100? 150? 200? 300? 400? 450? (that's about Will's time, so I'm guessing no further back...) Is the quote from a play? Romeo and Juliet? Macbeth? Hamlet? Julius Caesar? Othello? The Tempest? Midsummer Night's Dream? a comedy? a tragedy? a historical play? one named after a king? From a Sonnet? |

Did you not answer those questions because of some reason? The answers can't surely all be no, as every Shakespeare play is either a comedy or a tragedy... isn't it? Would implementing "the answer" involve killing lots of people? a specific person? all of a specific group of people? fighting a war? Does the problem have something to do with automobiles? with powered flight? Is the problem specific to some geographical region of the world? in the Americas? Asia? Europe? Middle East? Africa? Australia? To urban areas? to rural areas? Is it likely the problem affects my day-to-day life? the day-to-day life of anyone? |

Trying to figure out which Shakespeare quote we're talking about without knowing what play it's from is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack... without really knowing which haystack we should be looking in. Would it involve killing... half the world's population? all men? all women? people from a certain geographical region? people who hold a certain belief? people of a certain religion? people who have a certain social status? Would it involve killing anyone in the UK? anyone in France? Spain? Italy? the US? Canada? China? India? Asia? Europe? Africa? Australia? Mexico? S. America? Does the problem have anything to do with any technology that was invented around 100 years ago? radio? to do with industrialisation? |

Oh - the quote is from Henry VI part II, I believe... would tort reform solve "today's problem" in a somewhat less drastic way? |

Tort Reform. Incidentally, if we are talking about the same quote, Shakespeare's character almost certainly wanted to kill them all for many of the same reasons as you are thinking of... just look at the quote in context, and you'll see what I mean. |
