Lights? Paints? Roadsigns? Logos? Blue = pornographic? Blue = miserable? Green = environmentally sound? Green = naive? Would this puzzle work in other languages?

Did blue become the new green in 2008? 2000-2007? Before 2000?

Clothes involved? People? Animals? Camoflage? Are these actual colors, or metaphors as suggested above by Woodworm? Does one color change into another, or are they on different items?

I don't know if it's as simple as "Green roadsigns are being replaced by blue ones" or if there's some deeper meaning we need to discover...

Is this to do with motorways? The difference between signage on main roads and motorways? Is the country relevant? Toll roads relevant?

Is this to do with motorways? The difference between signage on main roads and motorways? Is the country relevant? Toll roads relevant? Yes to all.

********* SPOILER *********
In Italy (among other countries) main roads and motorways are indicated, respectively, by blue or green signs. In France (and elsewhere) it is the other way around. When passing the Italy-France border, blue becomes the new green.
