Anything to do with any of Mozart's operas? an opera that has references to Greek mythology or ancient Greek legends? (which is virtually every Mozart opera) Masonry relevant? Are the Greeks here the ancient Greeks of the era 500 BC - 200 our era? the Greeks of the Byzantine era? Mozart's contemporaries? the current inhabitants of Greece? |

Rcs: Greek letters relevant? Nope Anything to do with my recent puzzle about Beethoven's 5th Symphony, Morse Code, and Roman numerals? There is a vague connection with that puzzle, but it will mislead (I hope). |

They could not have because it was too early? Was there any relationship between what the Greeks and Mozart did? Is it a knowledge? A skill? Something else? |

A skill? Nope Something else? Yope Rcs: Mozart = Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? Sure, why not? Any particular piece of music relevant? Music is irrelevant. |

If music is irrelevant, could Mozart be replaced by a non-musical contemporary and have the solution still be the same? How about another composer from the same time period such as Antonio Salieri or Franz Joseph Haydn? |

Was the thing they couldn't have known discovered or realized in the 21th century? 20th? 19th? Could the Greeks of "before the present" be replaced with a contemporaneous society? |

Erinye: Was the thing they couldn't have known discovered or realized in the 21th century? This one 20th? Nope 19th? Nope again Could the Greeks of "before the present" be replaced with a contemporaneous society? Yes. This puzzle could just as easily be "People born before 1888 couldn't have known. Neither could George Washington." I just decided to mirror Rcs's title and puzzle statement. |

Rcs: 2008 election? Yep. Good enough to $P01L. Barack Obama? Sarah Palin? John McCain? Some other presidential or VP candidate? *********************SPOILER****************** Neither the Greeks nor Mozart could have known the results of the 2008 United States presidential election. I was hoping to mislead, but I guess you people are too smart for me. Oh, and if you are disappointed in this solution, I recommend going to my Propaganda Never Fails puzzle. |
