The milker hurt him. The milker saved him. the wrong help arrived. note: this was presented as a true story but since I can't independently verify that I'm going to say that it's fiction for the sake of this puzzle |

M? milker(1) = milker(2)? milker(1) = a dairy cow? a machine used to milk a cow? a person who milks cows? milker(2) = a dairy cow? a machine used to milk a cow? a person who milks cows? Did the events in these three sentences happen within seconds of each other? minutes? hours? days? months? years? Is where this happened relevant? Is when this happened relevant? Clarification is fun! :-) |

Is it relevant how the cow hurt him? If so, did it kick him? Was the second milker a milkman? Someone who mooches off someone else? (She was just trying to milk him for everything he had) |

The only other milker I can think of is a person who "milks the pot" in a poker game when they know they have a good hand... Is this milker(2)? or is milker(2) a baby? The milker (cow) that hurt him -- did the cow itself hurt him? Or rather some part or product produced from/by said cow? Milk? Was he lactose intolerant? |

Was milker 2 the only help he needed? Did milker 2 play its role before the wrong help arrived? After? Did milker 2 help by affecting the wound directly? By keeping him alive until help could arrive? By making a noise? Is milker 2 another cow? If not, a mammal? Bird? Fish? Reptile? Amphibian? Insect? |

Hmm, interesting. Did he eat milker 2? Did it provide him with food in some other way? Did it provide him with milk? Did it keep him warm? Give him shelter? Mentally reassure him? Did it affect the wound directly? Did it interact with the help in any way? Was the wrong help an animal? A machine? The weather? |

Was milker 2 the only help he needed? no, it was also not the right help, it just wasn This answer seems to have gotten cut off... anything more of any relevance to it? Is milker(2) a rodent? bat? dog (the kind that people generally keep as pets or as help on a farm, etc.)? other canine? domestic cat? other feline? bear? pig? sheep? goat? primate? Did milker(2) keep him alive for days after the cow kicked him? Did this happen in a barn? Was he alone on a farm (aside from any relevant and non-relevant animals)? alone in some area of a farm (while there were humans elsewhere, but not near him)? Was it the wrong help because it could not help him recover from his injury? Because it did not? Did the wrong help come in the form of humans? Would the right help have been paramedics or doctors of some sort? |

Was "the wrong help" brought by a dog? Or a cat? Perhaps a toy to get him to play with them? Is it the fact that the cow injured him by kicking him that makes this "the wrong help?" |

Let's see if I get it so far. A man gets kicked by a cow, and is unable to walk? He is kept alive by a goat, who provides milk and keeps him warm while he can't move? Then the wrong help arrives. Is the wrong help brought by a goat? Cow? Sheep? Horse? Chicken? Duck? Mouse? |

***Spoiler*** Close enough. At first I really liked the idea for this puzzle, but once it got going I wasn't happy with it - perhaps some poor wording on my part was to blame. What happened was the farmer was kicked by his cow and broke his hip. He couldn't move but his goat and his dog kept him warm. He was able to get milk from the goat, and the dog also brought him some left over bits of bones - which could be food, depending on your point of view. Unfortunatley, the farmer would have probably preferred a phone, or even some neighbors, so the bones were the wrong help. |
