Tom, Alex and Andy - all Human? Adult? Male?

Are the three related? Do they know each other?

The thing they are buying - tangible object? A service? A non-tangible commodity ( Insurance policy, etc.)?

Are one and five quantities, or are they numbered objects (eg. horses)?

Except that Jackson is on the Twenty, Jefferson is on the Two and Hamilton is on the Ten.

Is currency referred to in any way?

Yep. I figured that it either referred to actual people on currency or something encoded into the letters in their names. Couldn't find the latter, so double checked on the Googs for the former (Don't know your money people off by heart).
