"There" = a specific place? House/street/town or city/county/country/continent? If none of these, which is the closest in size? Is it important what was in that place (such as a specific mountain or museum or beach)? Or is it important who was there? Could she have gone at any time in her adult life? was there something specific that kept her from going? Or something that had to be/happen to make her go, that wasn't? |

Is she thought of as being associated with a specific place? But hasn't actually been there? Or is there a place most people like her went? But she couldn't? Are both her home and the place she never went in Europe? If not, is her home in Europe? The place? Saying the "place she never went" is the same as saying the "country she never went to," right? Or is there a specific relevant destination within the country? |

[name] of [country name]...does "country name" = the country she's never been to? The country she lives in? A different country? Would she have been royalty of that country had she lived there? But since she never went there, she wasn't? Is her marriage relevant? Was she married to nobility from her country of residence? To royalty of her country of residence? relevant? |

Not quite sure what to do here - I mean, I know who this person is, but is there more to the puzzle than that? No, no more than that. Just thought it would be an interesting subject for a quickie puzzle. Was the husband a king? Yes Richard the Lionheart? That's the guy! which means it's time for a... *******************************SPOILER******************* Berengaria of Navarre (c. 1165 – 1230) was Queen of the English as the wife of King Richard I of England. He was in Italy (on the third Crusade) when he sent for her. They met up in Cyprus and were married. She stayed elsewhere in Europe when Richard briefly went back to England - her specific whereabouts are hard to pinpoint, but this much can be said for sure: Berengaria never once set foot in England during King Richard's lifetime. It is possible that she did visit England after Richard's death, but at that point she was no longer legally Richard's "consort", she was a "dowager queen" - and King John and Queen Eleanor allegedly stiffer her on her pension.
