Andy and Bandy were old school-friends who were reuniting in a restaurant. In the middle of their meal, Andy unexpectedly aimed a shot at Bandy. But Bandy ducked and a man walking past was shot. The man ran as fast as he could and as Andi shot him a few more times he tripped over a knife and fell to the ground. Bandy gasped as everyone heard a bone break. The manager of the restaurant came out and called on his phone and sure enough everyone could hear sirens. Andi watched as the man was taken away while Bandy patted his back and congratulated him on his aim. Why did Bandy congratulate Andy? Should be easy. | ||

Did they know the man that was shot? was this a theme dinner of some kind? the bone that was broke, was it a human bone? paint ball relevant? was anyone actually injured? actually taken to the hospital or arrested? | ||

Were the shots Andy aimed at Bandy shots of liquor? You say the man was shot. Does shot here mean drunk? Shot with a weapon? The man walking past, was he a patron? waiter? criminal of sorts? robber? Is object the man tripped over, a knife, essential to the puzzle? Would the puzzle work with a different object? Did the bone that broke belong to the man who was shot? Was the type of injury suffered by the man, breaking a bone, relevant? Would your puzzle work with another type of injury? Did the manager call the police? an ambulance? Did Bandy congratulate Andy because his good aim helped catch a criminal? | ||

To avoid Discovery C ran to the Exit but Fell to the Ground in his Haste. The manager Informed the police who took the man to Jail. Andy congratulated Bandy for his fast action that helped catch a criminal. | ||

Is the notion that the criminal had stolen the food from some diner's plate? or from a passing waiter? and that a bone (say, a chicken bone) had broken as he fell and landed on top of it? | ||

But B ducked and A accidentally got a shot of a Criminal who just robbed the restaurant of some meat. A chased C and kept shooting. To avoid Discovery C ran to the Exit but Fell to the Ground in his Haste. One of the bones in the meat he had stolen snapped. The manager Informed the police who took the man to Jail. Congratulations yourself, Quovynyte - this was a good and original puzzle that deserved to have lasted longer, and would have done but for a lucky guess at a camera. Perhaps the wording of the puzzle statement gave a little too much away (no need to say, for example, that A and B were old friends, just that they were dining together) but a most ingenious effort nonetheless. |
