Did something physically pinch part of your skin? cause frostbite? Is "me" you, Galfisk? Curiously enough, a physics teacher at this summer camp I went to as a kid told a story where a family member had said a similar thing in a rather interesting situation. In fact, the quote may have been the same, verbatim. Maybe I should post it as my own first lateral puzzle after this one is done. |

Were you using this device when it bit you? was someone else? or was no-one using it when you got pinched, it just happened anyway? Is it a device that is practically "on" all the time? or do you turn it on, use it for a while and then turn it off? Is the device hand-held? standing on the floor? standing on a table? moving around? hanging? |

Was it genuinely painful? Yes. did it bite the skin? Yes - "bite" as in pinch. Is it an electronic or analog machine? "Machine" is not the best word - "device" is better. It is not electronic, and can not be called alanog since no signal/information processing is invovled. |

Is it a device that is practically "on" all the time? or do you turn it on, use it for a while and then turn it off? It doesn't have the states "on" and "off". Is the device hand-held? Yope. standing on the floor? standing on a table? No to those. moving around? Yope. hanging? Noish. |

Not at the relevant time. Must it (approach? touch?) the groin to function properly? Yesish - it will not stop working, but it will not fulfill its function. |

a zipper? ouch! Got it! ***SPOILER*** Catching our junk in the zipper, while not up there with being kicked in the balls, is one of the more painful experiences we can have as men. Fortunately I've never caught this particular body part in a zipper. Bonus poem (written for a competition a few years ago): All fastened to a fabric band A sliding shuttle as our heart All hand in hand in hand in hand Until the shuttle do us part We're forming a metallic strip (Or plastic if you're so inclined) Which keeps a garment's shape in ship The wearer's body thus confined But we can also show our teeth Revealing what we keep inside The transformation is complete By means of the metallic slide It's playing an important role Can reach us all form end to start In one direction makes us whole The other breaks us all apart We keep your jacket warm and tight Your pair of pants from falling down We keep your money safe in sight Your dress in place out on the town Your tent and sleeping bag secure Your bag, your pocket safely shut We are the zipper, we're the cure When buttons do not make the cut. |
