Relevant that it was "tamed" rather than "tame"? Is the act of taming this beast an important part of this puzzle? a minor part? only vaguely relevant? not at all relevant to the solution? Beast = human? animal? (if yes to one of these two, female? male? adult? relevant?) vegetable? mineral? metaphorical (like a major test, for example)? Could the taming only have happened at a specific time? at a specific place? by a specific person? Are you yourself involved in the event behind this puzzle statement? |

is The Beast a machine? No. steam-driven? No. is fire necessary for The Beast to function/operate? Yes. is The Beast, when untamed, explosive This.incendiary? does The Beast exist in present times? Yes. is The Beast, when tamed, a useful thing? Yes. Dynamite relevant? Yes! ****SPOILER**** Alfred Nobel experimented with the manufacture and use of nitroglycerin, but it remained temperamental and there were many accidents - including the death of his younger brother. When this "beast" was absorbed into diatomaceous earth it became dynamite, a much safer explosive which is still in use to this day. |
