"I agree, Bill: Men begradab more than women. I know I do."

Please define the verb "to begradab".

I #1 = I #2 = I #3 = me (Balin)

Is "begradab" a physical action? Experiencing an emotion? Thinking along a certain line of thought? Saying a particular thing?

Does it involve more than one person?

Interesting...does pretty much every man begradab more than every woman? Or is it just the general population of men that begradab more? Would adults begradab more than children? Or vice versa?

Does it have to do with anatomical differences? Traditional gender roles? Clothing? Hair? Names?

Is begradabing: fun? Useful? Annoying? Productive? Wasteful? Complicated? Expensive? Illegal? Strenuous? Dangerous? Pleasant? Satisfying? Manly? Destructive? Creative?
Can one do it alone? In the company of others? With the help of others? In the dark? In the nude? In the bathtub? Outside? In a blizzard? In a snow cave? On a boat? During a meal? In the sleep? While skydiving?
Does it require a prop? Tool? Does it produce a tangible result? Can animals begradab? Could one begradab in: the stone age? Ancient Egypt? Or ancient Rome? Do people all over the world begradab?
Can someone begradab if they're: blind? Deaf? Quadriplegic? Paraplegic? Retarded? Drunk? Lying down? Depressed? Suicidal? Extatic? Sleep-deprived? Hallucinating?
Can I begradab you? Can you begradab an object? Can people begradab each other? Can an animal be begradabbed?
Is begradabbing usually done: at home? At work? When traveling?

Can you begradab any inanimate object? Or just one specific class of object? It the begradabed object the "prop" required? Or does one begradab something using something else?

If a woman was especially "butch," would she be more likely to begradab more often? If she had low estrogen? If she was a lesbian? If she was childless? If she was boyish in appearance? If she had a boyish name? If she grew up surrounded by men? If she was particularly strong/muscular?

Can you begradab any inanimate object? No Or just one specific class of object? Just one object, period. It the begradabed object the "prop" required? Yes Or does one begradab something using something else? No

If she had a boyish name? If she grew up surrounded by men? If she was particularly strong/muscular? Hmmm...any woman can begradab, it's only that most don't. It's probably more of a stereotype than anything else - both my mother and sister begradab - so try not to overanalyze things.

Is the prop bigger than a: gnat? BB? Mouse ball (remember those)? Mouse? Computer mouse? Bread box? Microwave? Chair? Couch? Car? Is it portable? Is it expensive? Is it mass-produced? Organic? Does begradabbing change it? Can it be reused? Do you begradab with your hands? Mouth? Do you use your voice? By "men begradab more" do you mean that: a higher number of men that women begradab? That the men who begradab, do it more often that the women who begradab? Does it cost money? Can children do it? Could a monkey do it? Or be trained to? Is it healthy? Unhealthy?

so the action is done with a plastic food wrapper, and relates to the preparation of some meals, and the action results in a change in appearance of the bag, and is 'yopeishly' to do with crumpling, compacting or flattening it?
would it help to find what type of food?

is it a bread wrapper? is the action the way the wrapper if closed again after taking some bread? is the wrapper the bag inside a breakfast cereal packet? does it relate to whether one folds the top down carefully again after use or just scrumples it back into the box?

is the action one that can be done in a number of ways but men most commonly do it in this particular way? does the 'male' way take less time? more time? is it 'lazier'? would the men think it is a superior way of doing things? is the alternative not to do anything at all? or to use another method to achieve the same effect?

...and then place it down on the twisted end to keep it from untwisting? This one. That's everything! or tieing the twisted end in a knot? or putting a peg on the twist?

**********SPOILER**********

To begradab (an anagram of "bread bag") is to spin a bread bag around to close it and tuck the twisted end under the loaf. My dad, sister, and I do this all the time; my mother will sometimes use a twist tie or bread tag.

The "Bill" in the puzzle statement is Bill Engvall of Blue Collar Comedy fame; one of his routines involves how, rather than using a bread tag/twist tie/knot to close a bread bag, "I did what all men do: I spun the top and tucked it under!" Hence the statement. (The puzzle title was hinting at the four comedians of Blue Collar Comedy.)

Nice job, everyone, especially Kdoc for the solve. You know where my next puzzle is.
