Or was she already in bed? **********SPOILER********** In Durango, Colorado, in 2005, two neighborhood teenage girls baked cookies and left them on the doorstep of Wanita Young as an anonymous good deed. However, Young heard the two girls on her porch and became frightened. The girls apologized in writing, but Young sued them for $3000 for causing her distress. Eek. I remember when I was going door-to-door for an energy bill, I got yelled at for scaring a woman by walking up to the house. I didn't even knock on the door, seeing her angry face in the window, but I still got chewed out. It's a weird world where people can't stand the idea of another human being on their porch. |
