Is golf relevant? It=an object? Animal? Alas: did he regret shooting it? was it unfortunate that he ended up wearing it? Did it fall on top of him? Is it bigger than him? Did he wear it on his head? Relevant which body part he wore it on? Did he not wear it like a piece of clothing? but rather like a name? Was the situation like this?: Bob, a bad golfer (or a good golfer with bad luck), made an unfortunate shot and hit <object>. Now everyone calls him <object>-Bob. |

The Ancient Mariner? Indeed. Time for our quick ****** SPOILER ******** In Coleridge's poem "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner", an albatross is shot down by one of the sailors and consequently bad luck is coming down the ship. The shooter is then forced to wear the dead albatross around his neck, as a sign of repentance. Thanks to all who participated and especially Peter for his well-directed guess. |

I don't get what this has to do with golf. An albatross is involved in this, as is in golf. That's the only connection |
