Is the problem with your computer? no The Amazon site? no Is the problem related to the actual purchase of the book/s? yes Or do you have a problem "touching" them online to have a look inside? no, the word touch came up and it was easier to say yes to that, but I'm speeding things up by admitting that I am not allowed to buy books from Amazon, just me, that's all |

Have you ever bought books from Amazon in the past? If you hadn't, could you still have the same problem? Is your email address relevant? The type of credit card you try to use? How far are you able to get in buying books from amazon: look at the relevant web pages? click on the "add to basket" link"? click on the "checkout" link? Enter your credit card details? Are you completely unable to buy from Amazon? Or just unable to use "one-click"? |

Not sure how Amazon works, cause I haven't been using them. But here is a shot in the dark. Do you have to confirm something when ordering from them? And the only way to do that is by clicking on a link provided in a mail they send you (something I've often seen when registering my details on websites)? And because they read it as minimum.com instead of mini-mum.com, you never get the e-mail? |

When I asked 'when you try to log in', you replied that you are not allowed to do that. but you answered Baling 'I can log in if I like, I'm just not allowed to purchase anything'???? What I was looking for was the following. When you are on the Amazon page, you click on the Sign In button. Then you are asked to enter your e-mail address and password, and then click Sign in using our secure server' to log on. Are you not even allowed to click the Sign in-button? Lynne, can you please clarify a confusing point? When I asked 'when you try to log in', you replied that you are not allowed to do that. but you answered Baling 'I can log in if I like, I'm just not allowed to purchase anything'???? Fair point - this is actually fictional and very silly, but based on something I see that 'forbids' me to order. At first I maintained the fiction, then I repeatedly said this is Silly, and am now trying to help by letting it be known that it is not literal What I was looking for was the following. When you are on the Amazon page, you click on the Sign In button. Then you are asked to enter your e-mail address and password, and then click Sign in using our secure server' to log on. Are you not even allowed to click the Sign in-button? Is there anything relevant about your computer? keyboard? mouse? keyboard settings? So based on what I've just said, none of those questions can really have a yes or no answer without causing further confusion. The only thing that is relevant is the fact that I am known as MiniMum, or minimum, or mini-mum (the three are interchangeable) |

Forehead slap!!!! Can't believe we didn't get that. This is one of the few puzzles I've seen where I was so stumped I could not think of a single question to ask and yet the solution is mind blowingly simple. Major kudo's Lynne. And also it afforded you the opportunity to use my favourite "word" in the english language ..HARUMPH. |

"Give the governer a harumph" Hee hee lynne don't know where that apostrophe came from. Don't worry about being the property of Major Kudo he's a very Private person who is quite nice Generally. |

A model Major indeed, except I wager that he's Major Kudo with the apostrophe in the Forum - in which case he's a rogue and a cad. |
