Don't forget my questions above. Is the scrund about an intangible quality, like beauty? Is it about the old saw "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue?" Was the scrund dispelled by something you saw? Heard? Felt? Tasted? Smelled? |

Don't forget my questions above. My apologies. We cross-posted! Is the scrund about a custom? A religion? No. Could it have been dispelled by going to any wedding? yes-ish Just this one? There was something specific about this one. Something else? Technically, many other situations could have brought this scrund to my attention. Is the scrund about an intangible quality, like beauty? yesish, svv "intangible" Is it about the old saw "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue?" No Was the scrund dispelled by something you saw? no, but something I saw is relevant. Heard? Felt? Tasted? Smelled? No to rest. |

Recap: When I was a teenager, I attended a wedding where the bride's dress was a lovely color - but not white. I made a mistake that revealed a passive scrund. A yellow-ish green-ish color and a red-ish purple-ish color are relevant - though it is not necessary to guess the colors. Perhaps I would have avoided this scrund if I had paid attention to my crayons. |

The only thing coming to mind is that these are the colors of...grapes? Apples? Another kind of food? Bananas? (Really, I've seen reddish-purple ones. I don't know how they get that way. Never eaten one though. They look weird. Sorry. All are OTWT. |

Was the dress the shade of yellow-green? Of red-violet? |

Is the yellow-green color related to grass? Perhaps a grass stain? |

Sorry to barge in, but if I'm right, you and I had the same scrund. Is the color chartreuse relevant? Did you think the name sounded more like it should be a reddish purple color? but in reality it's a yellow-green color? Or vice versa? |

Wow - that has got to be it, Kalira. I have had that exact same scrund for pretty much my whole life. |

So sorry for the week of silence - real life intruded! Is the yellow-green color related to grass? Perhaps a grass stain? No to these...but... Sorry to barge in, but if I'm right, you and I had the same scrund. Is the color chartreuse relevant? Why, yes it is! I am really surprised that I am not the only one in this world that was mixed-up! Did you think the name sounded more like it should be a reddish purple color? but in reality it's a yellow-green color? Or vice versa? Spoiler: It wasn't until I called my dear old auntie's dress "chartreuse" that someone mentioned that it was really more of a fuscia color. Humph! Somehow I had it in my mind that chartreuse was a bright pink color. There is really no telling why I thought that or how many times I had unknowingly described the wrong color! Thanks for playing! |

I had it as more of a crimson/maroon color - still not even close to the actual yellow-green. And I'm fairly certain I have given others the same scrund...whoops. |

Funny, I used to have that scrund, too, but I was finally cured of it a few years ago. I wonder why on Earth we all had it pegged as being on the exact opposite part of the spectrum from where it really is? |
