Is this a true story? FYOI? FSEI? Did it occur in [LTPF list of centuries]? The premise behind it is true, but it never actually happened. On [LTPF list of continents]? Was the man from [LTPF list of continents]? It's based on something I noticed at my doctor's office at home (in Poughkeepsie, New York). The location is irrelevant however, and unless you've been to my doctor's office this really won't help you. |

Did everyone else at the office misunderstand it? Assume that most, if not all, of them did. Eventually it was cleared up. The doctor likely understood it correctly, and the person who said it definitely did. Other than that, most of them probably didn't. |

So only those who misunderstood it felt the "danger", correct? yes, but that was almost all of them. Presumably one of the few that didn't have the misunderstanding (such as the one that made the statement) would clear it up soon. Was the statement spoken to the doctor? Yes, but be careful not to make FA. About the doctor himself? About his skill? His practice? None of these |

Is it a part of a longer word? Or place name? "Greenland"? "Greensleeves"? No, see below. Were they paging him? Did people think the pager was announcing a "code green"? Not exactly, but close enough. ****SPOILER**** At this particular doctor's office (in Real-life) I noticed on the list of emergency codes that instead of the normal "Code [Color]" format, the code for dangerous individual (aka intruder) in the building was "Paging Dr. Green" presumably for security purposes, since "Code Green" could cause the intruder to panic and endanger lives. Now comes in our FMI scenario. Dr. Green gets hired, they page him, say "Paging Dr. Green" and people believe there is a dangerous individual in the building (not yet knowing the real Dr. Green). Good job everyone, especially Noel for the final jump. |
