I had a scrund about soda for about 10 years; it was not nearly as embarrasing as my "Sympathy for the Devil" scrund, but my friends still laughed at me when they pointed out my error. What's the scrund? |

Is it to do with the meaning of the word 'soda'? Over here it means a slightly alkaline, colourless mixer for your scotch ... perhaps you thought that people mixed whisky with, er, root beer, Dr Pepper, or such? (Perhaps they do. After all, people eat battenberg, ants on a log, etc.) |

No Over here it means a slightly alkaline, colourless mixer for your scotch ... perhaps you thought that people mixed whisky with, er, root beer, Dr Pepper, or such? No, although you did name the correct soda in that statement - root beer. (Perhaps they do. After all, people eat battenberg, ants on a log, etc.) I don't know what they do with alcohol over here, except drink lots of it. |

*pouts at Woodworm* Yes, well over THERE, people eat blood pudding, whatever that's supposed to be. Ick. Did you think root beer was real beer? That it was made from trees? |

You thought Dr. Brown had a PhD? No... <starwars>*jedi hand wipe* "This is not the brand you are looking for."</starwars> Although the scrund is about a specific brand. |

Oh, apparently it's only popular in New York, South Florida, and Jewish delicatessens. Anyway, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Brown%27s |

Mug Root Beer? Dad's Root Beer? Neither of these, but... (oh, and Barq's...*feels stupid* my mother just reminded me) ...it is Barq's that we are looking for. Mother knows best...? |

(Take a look at what? A can of Barq's? At my mother? I don't have any root beer on hand, so unless Google searching of pictures is allowed, I can't, and I don't know what my mother would be able to do.) Barq-ing up the wrong tree? |

Did you think it was spelled Bark's, to go along with the tree parts theme? |

I don't have any root beer on hand, so unless Google searching of pictures is allowed, I can't, and I don't know what my mother would be able to do.) Feel free to Google all you want. Barq-ing up the wrong tree? On the contrary, OTRT (on the right tree...I mean, track). Did you think it was spelled Bark's, to go along with the tree parts theme? No, but this is also OTRT. I got the scrund from looking at a can. |

"Famous Olde Tyme Root Beer. Since 1898." Hmm...Did you think it was sold in cans in 1898? Or was it something to do with "Olde Tyme"? |

Ah, great...I misspelled "embarrassing" in the puzzle statement. That was more embarrassing than the actual scrund. |

You thought the R was an N? and it was Bangs? Si, that is the case. **********SPOILER********** Because of the style of the font on cans of Barq's root beer (note: I have never drank that brand of root beer), I misread it as "Bang's" and got laughed at as a result, 10 years after I first made that mistake. Oh well. Nice work everyone - Woodworm, Gregory, Kaylee, and Kaylee's mother. |
