Oh, I'm sure, but she's not callous enough to keep him away from it altogether, however much she dislikes him being there... Or come in at a different moment? She'd settle for this Was the event your birthday? A wedding? Some celebration related to your professional life? It is, as Balin said, my graduation from my vocational school, so this is closest. All that's left to figure out, I suppose is why she's so mad and why she doesn't want him to come (at least, when he plans on coming), but that should be fairly easy. | ||

Are they divorced? They are, and it was nowhere near amicable. You're almost there...I suppose I could spoyle now, as the rest is just details, but I want to keep this puzzle going a little longer. RECAP: My parents are divorced, and my father, Ron, is coming over to my mom's house on Friday. I'm graduating, and he wants to see me. She'd rather he not come, but won't stop him coming to my graduation. There is something he's doing that made her furious, however, because it means she gets less time with me. Technically, you probably all know what it is, but no one's said it in so many words. What is it? | ||

Pretty much, yeah. ***SPOILER*** I am graduating from Everest College with a degree...thing in Medical Administrative Assisting on Friday afternoon. My mom got the whole day off, but she warned me before that it would be next to impossible. Therefore, I asked my dad to come to my graduation, something he had to take the day off for as well (but he had an easier time of it) Then, my mom told me that miraculously, she had the day off too... Therefore, my dad's going to spend the morning with me, something my mom is really mad about. After all, she took the day off to be with me! One of them is going to take me to my graduation (probably him) and, afterward, I shall go with my mom for the after-graduation party, which he can't come to as my parents are divorced and it did not go well.
