Did she get out of prison immediately after his death? A short time after? A while after? Did she get out by escaping? Being released? Being pardoned?
Had she been in prison for murder? Attempted murder? Kidnapping? Robbery? Armed robbery? Treason? A crime that would be considered "extreme"?

Was he murdered? By her? Did he die accidentally? Executed? Suicide?

Did she get out of prison immediately after his death? A short time after? A while after? This -- weeks or months. Did she get out by escaping? Being released? This. Being pardoned?
Had she been in prison for murder? This. Attempted murder? Kidnapping? Robbery? Armed robbery? Treason? A crime that would be considered "extreme"? Hmm... maybe.

The victim of her alleged crime:

Was it a H? A? M?

Assuming (H-A-M) for this line of questioning: is it relevant how he died? Did he die accidentally? Was he murdered (but not by the woman in prison)? Did he die also by falling? Did he die in the same place our hero died?

Did our hero's death help her prove her innocence?

The baby - was it the daughter of the woman in prison? Biological? Adopted?

Wild thought (though I doubt it will lead anywhere): Is this related to the case just now where a woman shook and killed her baby in order to keep playing Farmville?

While checking this out, BTW, I read of an incident in Korea where a couple let their infant starve to death while they tried to raise a virtual infant on their computer... brrr.

Is the man's will relevant? No.

Did the woman have a lawyer? Irr. Was the man the woman's lawyer? No.

Could you please recap?

In this true story from the 20th century, a woman was convicted and imprisoned for the murder of her infant daughter. She had not killed her daughter, but it is possible to call her negligent. She was convicted on insufficient and faulty evidence. The child most likely died from blunt force or shaking. The mother (and others with her) was not technically present when the infant died. The child's body might have been buried, but was certainly not preserved.

Several years later, a man unknown to the prisoner died accidentally, by falling from a cliff. Shortly afterward (months at most), the woman was released from prison.

Was it a pet? A wild animal? This. Did the animal kill the child? Yes.

Hangonhangon - was this the Azaria Chamberlain/"dingo took my baby" case? Yep.

Did they find evidence proving her innocence because the man fell? At the point where the man fell? Where his body was found?

Was it an article of clothing? A bone? Did the man fall into a dingo lair (or whatever the technical word for it is)?

**********
SPOILER
**********

This occurred in Australia, at Ayers Rock (AKA Uluru) in the 1980s. In 1982, infant Azaria Chamberlain was taken from her parents' tent by a dingo, a wild dog. Her mother Lindy was the only one who witnessed this, and enough questions were raised that Lindy was eventually accused of her daughter's murder. A mixture of hysteria and poor evidence-gathering led to her conviction. Lindy also insisted that her daughter had worn a particular jacket, which no one else at the campground remembered seeing. The jacket was never found, and this was partially responsible for Lindy's conviction.

In 1986, a hiker fell off Ayer's Rock. His body was found a week later, in an area of dingoes' nests into which he had fallen. Nearby, the searchers found Azaria's jacket, soaked in blood. This newly discovered piece of evidence vindicated Lindy Chamberlain, and she was released.
