Is it relevant that he was a teenager? Could the same apply for an older person? a girl/woman? It could just as well happen to a girl Matt's age and also to an adult who fulfils a certain condition. It could happen to a child, too, but it might be less likely. |

Yesish, it's about two days at least And did he stay in his parents house all the time (except for when he was in school etc)? Not necessarily, but no matter if he was indoors and outdoors, he didn't do certain activities Is the thing he did related to housework? Relevant the exact time he'd wanted to wake up? The exact time in hours and minutes isn't relevant but he had to do something until a certain time. Or just that he woke up an hour too early? see previous question Did he want to wake up at that time in order to see something? Not really But not have to wait too long for it? Which he did, because he woke up an hour early? Well, he had to wait eventually and he certainly didn't want that. Look at the first number of questions, it should be fairly easy then. |

Did he rush to school? Speed? Yes to both Did he think he was late and rushed, only to find out that the clock has changed and he arrived earlier? Yes, indeed ***************** SPOILER ***************** The weekend on which the clock was set to winter time, Matt stayed at home without anyone to look after him and remind him that the clock had to be changed. He didn't have any appointments nor did he watch TV or do anything else that would've made him aware of the change of time. Thus, he spent the entire Sunday thinking that it was one hour later than it really was. The next morning (Monday, when he had to go to school), he slept in, that is, he slept about one hour longer than usual, but due to the clock change, he actually got up perfectly on time. However, due to his wrongly set clock, Matt thought that he was late for school and went there in a mad rush in order to get there punctually. Eventually, he managed to arrive there just in time (according to his watch) and was really pleased with himself, but when he wasn't able to find any of his classmates anywhere, he realized what had happened. So then he was really angry with himself, not only because he had forgotten about the clock change and now had to spend one hour waiting, but also because his rush was completely in vain. Thus, the very thing that had made him happy just one minute ago made him displeased. This (supposedly) happened to a girl who posted this very story for the Embarrassing Moments section of a magazine I read a huge bunch of years ago. |
