When she was a kid, she acquired a certain skill because she thought that it might be helpful one day. But when she could have used it, she denied to have it. What was this skill and why didn't she use it? |

Usually using the other hand is not taught at school. So you aquired the ability to write with your left hand (although you did not perfect the skill). hmmm...but why would you deny the skill... |

Why did you try to learn left-handedness? was it just because you wanted to, or did you have another reason? a bit of both, have another look at the puzzle statement (; So you aquired the ability to write with your left hand (although you did not perfect the skill). yes, so the first part of the puzzle is solved hmmm...but why would you deny the skill...This happened some years later and only once, and I think I was 14 back then |

Is the manner of injury relevant? Did you break your hand? Was it injured enough that you couldn't write with it? Or did you choose to write with the injured right hand instead of the good left one? |

You had to write something which you didn't want to? And if you could write with your left hand you would still have to write it? So you thought it was better to make profit of your injury? School relevant? |

Did you have to write a test? and prefered to bow out for the reason that you can't write with your injured hand? YES - that's it and Redwine figured out the whole thing some minutes later: You had to write something which you didn't want to? And if you could write with your left hand you would still have to write it? So you thought it was better to make profit of your injury? School relevant? yes to all! Nice work, Kaylee kitteh, Balin and Redwine!! (: Here's the ********SPOILER******** When I learned to write in elementary school, I thought it would be both cool and helpful to be able to write with both hands. I spent some time learning to write with my left hand until it was pretty legible. Some years later, I broke the middle finger of my right hand a couple days before a latin exam (*shudder*). I told the teacher that I couldn't write the exam and he asked me if I could do it with my left hand. After a short hesitation I said no. Eventually, I had to take a make-up test some weeks later, but at least that gave me more time to study. |

Ouch! And as for the shudder, I took Latin this past semester (and am taking it again in the spring), so...yes, I know where that shudder is coming from. But indeed, that is a useful skill, and it certainly makes for a great puzzle! |
