Is he a child? Relevant what specific age? His general age? True story? From your imagination? From some fictional source? Is the angel: A literal being? A literal thing? A metaphor? Alive? Time period relevant? Location relevant? Country/City etc. relevant? After meeting the angel - does him home still exist? For all intents and purposes, is his home there for him to return to? |

Is he a child? Yes. Relevant what specific age? His general age? He's young. True story? From your imagination? From some fictional source? Based on a true story. Is the angel: A literal being? Not a sentient one. A literal thing? Yes. A metaphor? No. Alive? Yes. Time period relevant? Not really. Location relevant? Country/City etc. relevant? Sort of to both of these. After meeting the angel - does him home still exist? Yes. For all intents and purposes, is his home there for him to return to? Yes. |

Is he alive after everything relevant? Did he experience something/someone he thought to be an actual angel? A non-sentient being: Mineral? Plant? Animal? Human? Would he even want to return home? Title relevant? Did something/someone ascend? Did something happen you could describe as unholy? Something real bad in a worldly sense? |

Is he alive after everything relevant? No. Did he experience something/someone he thought to be an actual angel? No. A non-sentient being: Mineral? Plant? Animal? Human? None of these. Would he even want to return home? Yes. Title relevant? Not really. I edited the puzzle a bit after choosing the title, so don't dwell on it. Did something/someone ascend? Did something happen you could describe as unholy? Something real bad in a worldly sense? |

So the being was alive (as in, an organism, correct?), but was not sentient, not a plant, and not an animal? Also since he didn't die of a disease but the being killed him, it wasn't a virus/bacteria. Was it a fungus? Was it a single being or a collective of beings? For the child's manner of death... poisoning? blunt trauma? drowning/suffocation? hypothermia? blood loss? overheating? heart attack? liver failure? other specific organ failure? brain damage? unknown? is it relevant how he died? or is the exact medical result of what happened irrelevant? Is the "angel" a corporeal being? |

Is it relevant why he was out of home when he met the angel? Exodus and the Angel of Death relevant? Did the angel do anything relevant? Did the angel say anything relevant? |

I had to go to wikipedia to find the proper name of the thing, but I decided to post that rather than its common name as I didn't want to be too obvious, especially as I might still be wrong. I doubt it, lol, but I might still be wrong. Alternatively, how about the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who? Or the Hosts from the episode "Voyage of the Damned"? *shudder* |

Okay, now I want it to be the Weeping Angels. Those are - hands-down - some of the scariest monsters ever! |

I knew after the first few posts that this would be too easy! Then again, you guys are the experts. *********SPOILER********** The young child ingested a destroying angel mushroom, which resembles the common edible variety, while walking around in his backyard. The extremely poisonous fungus was the cause of his death. |

Quick, yes. Still, a good puzzle! Sometimes it's almost eerie how fast your fellow puzzlers can hone in on relevant details. |
