It's Balin's fault that... you did something? this you thought something? because of this something happened? well, something happening, coupled with what Balin did previously, made me think of what Balin did and consequently do something. Mr. Coke: Balin = LTPF Member? this one, cut the others for space but who knew there was an LTPF list of Balins, just like one of Kochs?? Wow. The thing which is his fault... Is it good or bad? DOYD, really, probably more annoying than not but mostly neutral. Annoying to others. I thought it was fun.Did he do it to you? Or did he even do it at all? Or cause it to happen indirectly? This one, as Balin and I have sadly not met yet |

With the lyrics changed to his second puzzle title? Did someone else hear you singing? And laugh? Did you manage to forget his version weren't the actual lyrics? |

Did you hear the song somewhere? Yes!! I could make you guess where, but I think I'll just spoil now. ***SPOILER*** Yesterday, my mom, sister and I went to San Francisco to spend Easter together having fun. I rode in my sister's car while my mom followed us (my sis had to leave from the city to get back home as she had work today) and while we drove up, we listened to the radio. One of the songs that most persistently showed up (besides Katy Perry's "Firework" was "Dynamite." Of course, the lyrics start with "I throw my hands up in the air sometimes." Now, the song reminds me of Balin, because his first puzzle with that lyric was the first I'd ever heard of that song, and it became an earworm. The second puzzle he posted, however, with the altered lyric, "I throw *myself* up in the air sometimes," got the mondegreen stuck in my head...and so I sang it that way, even with it on the radio the right way. Tortie laughed at me for saying it was Balin's fault. =) But we love Balin and all of you anyway. Good work, everyone! Especially Doriana kitteh for the solve. You all can haz cheezburgur. |

Mom wouldn't have been listening to "Dynamite". She'd have been listening to Len Tillem on KGO. Or whoever was on at that point. Come to think of it, Len Tillem could provide some pretty good lateral puzzles, when it comes to those about general stupidity... |

Too funny! I think alternate lyrics are often more fun than the real lyrics. Nothing wrong with improving songs. :D |
