Did she see birches set up at the houses of all of her friends? but none at hers? exactly! Galfisk and Shez, I'll skip your questions because Sundowner has solved the puzzle. Hope you don't mind. Here comes the ********SPOILER******** In Germany (or at least in my region) we celebrate May Day with some nice traditions. One of them is erecting "Maibäume" (may trees) which are a special kind of maypoles. Wikipedia says: "On the night of the last day of April, many young men erect small decorated "Maibäume" (usually birches) in front of the houses of their sweethearts. Some attach a red heart with the name of the girl written on it to the tree." On May 1st, Julia walks home from a party and sees may trees in front of a lot of houses in her neighbourhood, but she already knows she won't get one because she's single. All the beautiful trees make her feel sad so that she starts to cry. Thanks to everyone who played, nice work! Congratulations to Sundowner for the solve (: | ||
