This one might go very quickly, which is fine. I won’t be wounded if someone gets it early on. Six miles in two days to arrive a golf course – pretty amazing! |

Was it a real-life situation? A true story? Was the person who arrived H? A? M? Maybe it was you? Or are we talking about more than one person? Did the person travel by foot? Did he or she travel so long because they got distracted on the wat? Or lost their way? |

Just to make sure I understand this -- "to arrive a golf course" means finishing it or the guy was trying to arrive at the golf course? |

*facepalm* It's a typo. The CORRECT statement should be: Six miles in two day to arrive at a golf course - pretty amazing! So sorry... |

Ever have one of those days where everything goes wrong? Where you manage to make new typos while trying to correct previous errors? Clearly I was having one of those days when I posted this puzzle. Not only did I make a typo in the puzzle statement, I managed to mangle some rather important details. Putting us all out of our misery: ***** SPOILER ***** The puzzle statement should have read “Two miles, six days”. Drawn from a news story about an African Spurred Tortise that escaped from the circus he was traveling with and managed an impressive 2 miles over 6 days before being discovered at a local golf course. He weighed over 110 lbs and this species of tortoise has an average speed of 0.2 miles per day…so the tortoise in question was VERY fleet-footed, managing 10 days travel in only 6. My apologies for how off the rails this one went. Be back soon with solvable puzzles that make sense. |
