They are staring at an empty field. They are quite happy with what they see. |

Are they human? Alive? All male? All female? Mixed? Is the field a location - like a field next to a stream? A field of energy? A field of study? A playing field? Is the field empty of: Buildings? Animals? Trees? All vegetation like grass or flowers? Did they make the field empty? |

Is the first "they" the same as the second "they"? As the third "they"? Are the second and third "theys" the same? |

Did they destroy the buildings? If so, is it relevant how? Did they knock them down? Burn them? Are they planning to use the field? To plant flowers and/or trees in it? To build new buildings? |

So it is possible that they emptied the field of buildings without destroying them? By moving them to another place? Are they happy because their work of making the field empty is done? Because the result shows that it was a good idea to make the field empty? |

So it is possible that they emptied the field of buildings without destroying them? By moving them to another place? You are assuming that they emptied it. I just answered yes to the fact that the field was empty of buildings, not that it has been "emptied" of buildings. So to avoid further confusion: no building has ever been there. Are they happy because their work of making the field empty is done? Yes Because the result shows that it was a good idea to make the field empty? good idea, bad idea, ideas are subjective: not relevant |

Klang, not to be picky but the choice not to use BOLD for replies is making it a little hard to follow this puzzle as it evolves. Is the reason they emptied the field relevant? Is it relevant specifically what the field was emptied of? Is it relevant what will be done with the emptied field? Woodstock or other large outdoor festivals relevant? Community service relevant? |

They made the field empty, but not of buildings, right? But it is relevant that the field is now empty of buildings? And yet, it is not relevant whether they are planning to use the field for buildings? I'm puzzled... Very long shot, not really in line with my problem above: Did they empty what now is a field of water? "God created the world, but the Dutch created the Netherlands" - relevant? |

Was it for their own benefit that these people were moved out? Was it dangerous for them to live there? (or did it become dangerous? because of a nuclear/chemical incident?) |

Did the guys clear a roma camp and they were pleased that the field was restored for all the community to enjoy? If this is true, is there anything more to discover? |

SPOILER: In Somewhereville's local election, the Sphere party defeated the Cube party for the first time. Part of their program was the cleanining of the outskirts of Somewhereville from a roma camp. |
