Can we call the speaker Max? And the addressed person Paul? So, Paul first told Max that he saw the item, and then said something that made Paul assume he hadn't seen it, right? Did Paul say things that were conflicting? Or Did Max want Paul to describe the item and Paul couldn't? Was Paul still seeing the item when they started to talk? Was he still seeing it when Max said the puzzle statement? Was Paul on a vacation? Traveling? On a business trip? Is "it" a building? A statue? A park? A cave? Something that's on display in an exhibition or a museum? An eletronic device? Did Paul call Max? Did Max call Paul? Relevant? Did Paul want Max to know that he saw it? Was Paul using a cell phone? Yes, I meant Max in the third question of my previous post. Sorry for that. Is "it" one single item? Could a person take it with him? Or is it something that's fixed to the ground? Is it a monument? A sign? A castle? A sea? When Paul said the yope-ly conflicting things, did he tell the truth all the time? Did he simply misspeak something? Or confuse something? Or did he intend to say the things he said? |

So Max assumed that Paul had seen a certain advertisement but it really wasn't the one that Paul had seen? Max' job relevant? Paul's job relevant? Does Max create advertisements? Is he responsible for the placements of advertisements? Does he own a company? Did Paul see one of "Max'" advertisements? Did Max think that Paul saw one of "his" advertisements? So, Max had seen the billboard before Paul saw it? But in the time in between, the advertisement on the billboard changed? So when Paul saw it, it looked different from what it was when Max saw it? Shez nailed it! ****SPOILER**** Paul, a local businessman, spotted a billboard that read "ADVERTISING SPACE AVAILABLE: CALL 555-1234." When he called to inquire, he didn't immediately realize the billboard was advertising itself and so they were both kind of confused: Max: Hello, Acme Advertising. Paul: I see from your sign that you have some advertising space available. Max: Yes, that's right. Paul: Where is it located? Max: pause But you just said you saw it! Paul: pause Oh, right, obviously. Nice work Shez!! |
