Can I safely assume that "my" = Balin's? Christmas involves... food church Christmas trees presents family. Any of those relevant for why your arm was sore? Your left arm? Right arm? Relevant? Were you carrying anything? Are other people relevant? |

Were you buying a Christmas tree? Decorating it? Relevant how much time passed between the three sore moments? Some days ago, I ran face first into a Christmas tree at our supermarket and a branch hit me in the eye. Something as stupid as that relevant? |

Was your arm at any of the three occurences ...hit against something? ...hit by somebody? ...scratched? ...cut? ...jammed? ...singed? Did something fall onto it? If so, did any of these happen twice? All three times? Was it always the same part of your arm that became sore? Or different parts? Upper arm? Forearm? Wrist? Shoulder? Was your arm sore immediately after the three things that caused the soreness? Or did it become sore some time after doing three things? Like getting muscle ache on Thursday after having carried the tree around on three instances on Wednesday? |

HINT: You know that all three arm aches were caused by the tree, all at different times. So... -What are three things you have to do to take a tree home? (Also: you've figured out the first one; that I hurt my arm sawing down the tree. Your FA was that it was chopped down.) |

Did you have to contort your body to see around the tree while driving and look for traffic in the adjacent lanes? Was it difficult to keep your hand on the steering wheel while doing this? |

Actually, I think you've got enough information for the **********SPOILER********** My mother and I went to get a Christmas tree on the 14th. We found a nice tree; however, it was fairly large and had a semi-thick trunk. As such, we took turns alternating with the saw, and the sawing took so much work that my arm started to hurt (that's 1). We eventually cut the thing down and hauled it to the car. Because of the size of the tree, we had to drive with the tree hanging out the back of the trunk; I held it just to make sure it didn't fall out. To do this, I had to contort my arm awkwardly, which hurt -- that's 2. Finally, we made it home, and with my dad's and sister's help, we unloaded it and put it up. However, we had cut the trunk at a slight angle, so I had to hold up the tree while we propped up the tree stand, so the tree would be straight and not fall over. This was the last straw for my arm -- that's 3. Nice work everyone, new puzzle when I can think of one. |
