Hmm, I don't really know where to start, but I'll try anyway. Are we talking about "weaponry" in the literal sense, i.e. objects that you use to fight, kill or cause damage? If so, firearms? explosives? nuclear weapons? chemical weapons? biological weapons? Was the weaponry used by anyone? By one person? more than one? an army? in a war? |

Ok, I don't know many English Christmas songs... especially not traditional ones. Nevertheless, is it Silent Night, Holy Night? Twelve Days of Christmas? Joy to the world? We wish you a merry Christmas? Hark! The Herals Angels Sing? (Probably quite a random list, but those are the only ones that I can think of, and I don't want to copy the wikipedia list of Christmas carols...) |

I will add that it is a religious song. |

Is the relevant song O come all ye faithful? Ok, if not white weapons, it's probably called cold weapons, "non-firearm type weapon used for self-defense or killing including swords, daggers, sticks, and batons among others". Is that relevant? |

Is it a bow? In the text you hear(d), is there any relevant action taken with the weaponry? If yes, is this action taken by a biblical figure? |

Hmm... O Holy Night? Long lay the world in sin and "arrow" pining? Yes! **********SPOILER********** For most of my life, I always thought the Christmas carol "O Holy Night" included the line "Long lay the world in sin and arrow pining." This made sense to me, as I assumed the lyricist had used "arrow" to represent pain and suffering. However, I was descrunded only days before I posted the puzzle; the lyric is, of course, "error," not "arrow." Nice work everyone, especially Kalira for that last step. New puzzle (s) soon. |

Shez, you never hear that one in England? That's interesting -- it's all over the place here during the season. Hmm... I wonder if you hear ones over there that we rarely hear here. |
