Both plans = each of 2 plans? Separate plans? Conceived by separate people? |

Did the people planning each of 2 plans know each other? Know about each other's plans? Was there one person planning the first plan and second person planning the second plan? More people planning the first plan? More people planning the second plan? Was the oversight made by Planner(s) #1? Planner(s) #2? Someone else? |

Did the plans have completely different objectives? Overlapping objectives? Similar objectives? Identical objectives? Conflicting objectives? For Plan 1, did the oversight mean that the plan was ruined due to an error in timing? logistics? Did someone find out about the plan and foil it? Did the oversight mean that something which had not been anticipated happened? That something which had been depended upon did not happen? Did the plan have any criminal element? For Plan 2, did the oversight mean that the plan was ruined due to an error in timing? logistics? Did someone find out about the plan and foil it? Did the oversight mean that something which had not been anticipated happened? That something which had been depended upon did not happen? Did the plan have any criminal element? Did whoever made the oversight know about either of the plans? |

Did the two plans have several features in common? Were they different ways of achieving the same end? Were they planned to be put into operation on the same day? At the same time? Did either of the planners actually begin to put the plan into action before being foiled? Or was either of them foiled before the action started? Were the plans to steal money? Objects? To gain money? Did the plans involve harming someone else? |

Were the plans to kill a celebrity? A politician? The leader of a country? Were the plans to kill more than one person? Was there an event going on that the person/people was scheduled to attend? Was plan #1's method of killing different from plan #2's? For plan #1: Did the plan depend on the person being in a particular place at a particular time? Was the killing intended to take place in situ? Was the planner waiting for the person to come to the place? Following the person? Was the intended killer the author of the plan? For plan #2: Did the plan depend on the person being in a particular place at a particular time? Was the killing intended to take place in situ? Is this a specific world leader? Is it a generic world leader for the purpose of the puzzle? Is it the President of the USA? By "in situ" I mean was the intention to kill the president while he was at the event, for example while he was making a speech? Or to kill him beforehand? Afterwards? Was the plan to assassinate him in public, so everyone who was present saw? To do it without everyone seeing? |

Was plan #2 to kill the president as he was leaving the stage/platform/wherever he was? Do we need to find out the exact nature of the event? Was plan #1 to shoot him? Kill him with some kind of projectile? Kill him with poison? Blow him up? Did it involve waiting until a certain time to do something? Waiting until something happened to do something? If time, waiting until an absolute time? Or waiting until a time after or before something else? Same questions for plan #2. Was the oversight related to something about the president's habits? superstitions? itinerary? Any kind of medical condition? |

Was plan #2 discovered? Was something resulting from plan #2 discovered which led to the president not being available for planner #1 to shoot? Was plan #1 to shoot the president from afar, with a sniper rifle? Was it ruined because planner #1 was prevented from accessing his planned vantage point? Because the president did not appear where he was meant to? Because something obscured a clear shot? Did planner #1 actually fire on the president? Was the event one where the public were present? A speech? A conference? A press conference? A state ceremony? A memorial ceremony? Was the president opening something? |

Had planner #1 found a suitable vantage point in advance? Did he go to it on the day in question? Was he prevented from getting there? Was he late? If he was prevented from getting there, was it as a result of the oversight? Did plan #2 involve planting the bomb in advance? Planting the bomb somewhere on the premises? Detonating it from afar? Was planner #2 a would-be suicide bomber? Was plan #1 scheduled to take place while the president was speaking? Was plan #2 scheduled to take place before plan #1? Afterwards? |

Did planner #2 need, according to his plan, to be there on the day in question? Did planner #1 Did he shoot at someone else? Did he line up the shot? Did he pull the trigger? Did he not fire on the president because the president was not there to be fired at? Because the president was not in the anticipated position? Because he couldn't get a clear shot? Actually, I mean the day after the clocks went back! Did the bomb go off at the designated time, but the president wasn't there yet because of the clock change, so he escaped being blown up, and as a result of the evident assassination attempt was not in position at the scheduled time for Allenbee to shoot? Something like this? |

Did the conference take place at all? Was it moved to a different place? Postponed? Cancelled? Were some of the logistics changed? Did the president or any of his entourage realise there had been an explosion? Did they think something other than an assassin was responsible for any effect they might have noticed? Gas, for example? Did the bomb damage something which resulted in the president not being in the position anticipated by Allenbee? Did another consequence of the bomb result in the president not being in the anticipated position? |

RECAP: Allenbee and Boris planned to assassinate the US president, who was going to give a speech that would open a conference. Allenbee was a sniper, but never got a chance to fire at the president because of Boris. Boris wanted to blow up the president, but due to Daylight Saving Time ending his bomb went off an hour earlier than expected. All you need to know: How did the bomb stop Allenbee from taking a shot at the prez? |

Did the bomb kill Allenbee? Yep! Was the conference postponed because of the explosion? Was Allenbee's presence discovered by safety services after the explosion? **********SPOILER********** The president was supposed to give a speech, then hold a conference in a nearby hotel. Boris wanted to blow up the hotel and kill the president, so he placed a time bomb in the hotel. Unfortunately, he hadn't taken the end of Daylight Saving Time into account, so the bomb went off an hour early. Meanwhile, Allenbee was planning to assassinate the president during his speech, so he took a vantage point in a high building with a sniper rifle. Unfortunately, that building was the aforementioned hotel, and he was killed when Boris' bomb exploded. Nice work Jane and Redwine. New puzzle probably after my final today. |
