Were they arrests of two different people? Were both people HAM? HAF? Was the actual thief one of the people arrested? Did the thief steal the art from a museum? From a private residence? Did the other person arrested work at the place where the art was kept? |

Did you hear about the man in Paris who almost got away with stealing several paintings from the Louvre? After planning the crime, getting in and out through all the security at the Louvre, he was caught only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas. When asked how he could mastermind such a spectacular crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied: “Monsieur, I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh.” (And you thought we lacked De Gaulle to repeat a story like this.) This joke relevant? |

Ok well, one person was arrested for stealing the artwork, but it turned out to be a fake, so a second person was arrested? |

Ok well, one person was arrested for stealing the artwork, but it turned out to be a fake, so a second person was arrested? Yeah... **********SPOILER********** A thief broke into a man's house and stole what he thought was a valuable painting. When he tried to sell it, he was informed it was fake, so he went to the police, who arrested him for the theft and the other man for the forgery. Nice quick work. New puzzle soon. |
