Is it something written? A sign? A symbol? A picture? A fact? A replica of something? Wrong in the sense of factually incorrect? Morally wrong? Wrong because of an FA of some kind?

Does it perform its function even though it is wrong? Prevent something bed from happening? Help someone? Remind someone of something?

Did the sign make someone else do something relevant? That would be the intent, hopefully - although I just realized it might be unhelpful in another way! Did the physical sign itself make you glad? Yes The information it conveyed? Yes The location it was in? Not as much

Did it imply that something was impossible? When doing the thing was actually possible, but inadvisable?

"Do Not Enter"? "No Entry"? "Do not pull over"? Does it direct the driver to drive in a certain direction? At a certain speed? Is it a safety advisory? Does it incorrectly label where something (an exit, a building, a street, etc.) is? Or isn't?

Does the sign make everyone drive more safely? Or better in some other way? Does it confer particular advantage to you?

Does the sign advise you to fasten your seatbelt?

"Wear seat belts?" "Don't Drink and Drive?" This, but the sign had more information than that "Don't text and drive?"

Is it a "Look for Pedestrians" or "Look for Motorcycles" sign? "look both ways?" Does the sign advise you to fasten your seatbelt? So No to the rest of these

Did the sign refer to something happening "today" when it happened yesterday? Did it invoke something as being in effect that had already ended? Did it include a date?

Did it imply a consequence that wouldn't actually happen? For example, it warned that officers were doing random breathalyzer tests when they actually weren't? Might the sign make people: refrain from drinking? Plan not to drive once they drank? Pull off the road if they were already drunk driving?

Were you glad it was there because it would encourage those around you to drive safely? because it advised you of some sort of road condition (for instance a sobriety checkpoint that would create a traffic jam)?

Did the sign mention either New Years Eve or Day? did it have the date of the previous year? the current year? No to all

Did it refer to "tomorrow" when what it referred to had turned into "today"? No

Were you glad it was there because it would encourage those around you to drive safely? Yes because it advised you of some sort of road condition (for instance a sobriety checkpoint that would create a traffic jam)? No

You've all figured out the second part of the statement. What's needed now is why it was wrong.

Did it mention last year as if it was the current year? Yes! Did it give a statistic about last year? Yes Say something like, "You can guarantee that there are no more traffic accidents in 2016" when it was already 2017? This is the general idea, Yes.

****SPOILER****

Driving home at 1 AM on New Year's Day, I saw a sign on a highway overpass that said: "340 traffic deaths in CT this year. Don't drink and drive." While I appreciated the safety message, I also noted that since it was now January 1, 2017, "this year" was no longer correct.

Well done Grip for the tenacity and IrishElk for the final piece, along with everyone else who took part.
