How is Marlborough, Connecticut, unique among towns in the state?

Please don't look up Marlborough, CT, as that might lead to an earlispoilor

Are there other towns in other states who might have this unique feature?

Is Marlborough near where you live? is it where you live? does it neighbor towns who also are also names of cigarettes?

Do county lines divide the town? Do some people in Marlborough live in a different county than their neighbours ( this is fairly common in Ireland)?

Is distance to other towns relevant?

Is this one of those things where one town ends up being at the same time the farthest north and farthest south (or similarly for east and west) town in its region (in this case county)? or, are the county offices for a different county located there (possibly because there are no towns in the other county big enough to have them there)?

Is the name itself relevant? for example, the length of the word 'Marlborough?' Is the fact that both 'Marlborough' and 'CT' (when written out) are long words relevant?

Does it border one other county? two? three? more? Four Is it the only town that borders this number of counties in CT? Yes. There's a little more to it, but this is close enough.

****SPOILER****

Marlborough borders four towns, each in a different county.

Marlborough is in Hartford County, and it borders Glastonbury (also Hartford County), Hebron (Tolland County), Colchester (New London County), and East Hampton (Middlesex County).

Nicely done on the quick solve. Now I really need to think of more puzzles.

Darn, I should have suspected! I have lived in a town that was not only in two different counties, but in two different states, and in another, much smaller, town that is in three different counties - not to mention two different landforms!
Good puzzle, even if a quickie!
