He: HAM? Her: HAF? Her=she? Did he intend to make the cuts? Did he intend to kill her? Did she intend to haunt him? Supernatural phenomena relevant? Haunting thoughts or memories? An infection? Were the >150 cuts made within a period of seconds? Minutes? Hours? Days? Weeks? Years? Decades? Did they hurt? Bleed? Did blood loss kill her? Poison? Venom? An infection? Suicide? Nerve damage? Cold? Heat? Electric shock? Drowning? Suffocation? Strangulation? Was he a surgeon? Were the cuts primarily to her skin? Is this a true story?

Did he cut her actual body? Pictures? WAG: did he cut a film of her into lots of little bits, cutting each picture frame by her neck? Did he project a film wrongly, cuting her head off? Use a film camera wrongly, only recording her from the neck down? Are her breasts relevant? Did he commit a crime? A murder? Was he punished for what he did?

Did he make the cuts? Is "making the cuts" synonymous with cutting? Are they physical cuts that separate two previously connected areas of a material? Are they injuries? Did he regret it because he got injured? Lost money? Lost reputation? Lost love?

CLUE:-

As has been established, the 'cuts' are a metaphor.

You've already established that 'she would come back and haunt him' means that she would get her revenge (for SVV of 'revenge').

Think of "He killed her with 171 small cuts to her neck." as you would a cryptic crossword clue.

Did she literally die after the cuts? or metaphorically? Games relevant?

Does she get revenge after her "death"? Before? Is her dying the revenge in itself?

Is "171 small cuts to the neck" a rewording of a phrase? Does it refer at all to a physical action he took? Is "cut" in the sense of "a cut of meat" relevant? I.e., is he doing something to her/her neck with "cuts" of something else? How about "cut" in the sense of an insult?

No.
However, addition is relevant in the context of the whole puzzle.

Sorry, I poorly worded it. What I was pointing to is: did he win by scoring 171 points?
Other words already on the board relevant? the word he composed?

Other meanings of the word "neck" relevant? the expression "win by a neck"? the fact that the neck connects the head with the body? (did he somehow connect the words head and body (or similar) on the board?)

Sorry, I poorly worded it. What I was pointing to is: did he win by scoring 171 points? Yes; assume the 171 points, when added to the word he connected with, and his score so far, gave him enough to win.
Other words already on the board relevant? No the word he composed? YES

Other meanings of the word "neck" relevant? Not as such but expore the expression "win by a neck"? no the fact that the neck connects the head with the body? no (did he somehow connect the words head and body (or similar) on the board?) no[/quote]

(I think you missed Balin's questions)

Relevant how many tiles he placed on the board? 1? 2? 3? more?
Did he modify one word on the board? two? three?
Did he connect two words on the board into a longer one?
Ara any of these words related to "neck"?
