Donald = HAM? Flora = HAF?
Does she kiss him on the lips? Is this real life, or a play/TV programme/book or similar? Is their location or surroundings relevant? Is this the first time he's tried to woo her? Has he been trying to woo her for hours, days, weeks, months, years? Ages relevant?

Does she do this because she has been wooed? No. Does he do it to make him happy? If you mean "she", and the kiss, yes. Unhappy? Make herself happy? Yes. Unhappy? Make someone else happy? Unhappy? Deceive him? Deceive someone else? No to the rest.

Donald = HAM? Flora = HAF? Yes to both.
Does she kiss him on the lips? Assume yes. Is this real life, or a play/TV programme/book or similar? They are not actors, and this could happen in real life. Is their location or surroundings relevant? Location, yes; surroundings, no. Is this the first time he's tried to woo her? No, with a significant -ish. Has he been trying to woo her for hours, days, weeks, months, years? Hours at most. Ages relevant? Assume late twenties.

So the soldier and the woman had an agreement like "wait for me, I'll be back when the war ends, and these gloves will show I'm alive"?
As Galfisk guessed he was testing her loyalty, it means he put on a disguise? A disguise that is more attractive than the real face but unrecognisable as being him? A disguise to look like some other person in particular? Did they expect him to become not recognisable, or killed?
