[IrishElk] The Happening

Because the landscaper had taken a week off, Floyd horribly embarrassed himself.

Did Floyd try to do the landscaping himself? Landscaper and Floyd = HAM, different people? Relevant where the landscaper was doing the landscaping?

Did Floyd blame the landscaper for something? Probably. Did the landscaper work on Floyd's land? No.
Did Floyd try to take credit for something? Did Floyd lie? Commit a crime? Yes, or nearly did. Brag? Try to hide something? Try to hide himself? No to rest.

Earnest

WAG was Floyd nude on his garden? No. Is the landscaper of the neighbors that took the week off? No. Was the landscaper substituted temporarily by someone else? No. Was a plant grown/not cut? Yes. Was Floyd embarrassed in his own house/garden? No.

Good questions!

Did the plant cover something relevant? Uncover it? Was the plant on Floyd's garden? Was the plant very high from the ground? Was it used as a vorder with the neighbors? Has Floyd got neighbors? If he has, would the puzzle work even if he had not? Are the leavers of the plant relevant?...is the plant legal by itself? Are we talking about a potted plant? A tree plant? A cactus? Kind of plant relevant?

Floyd's crime = a minor crime? Did he steal something? Is his crime connected to something he had in his house? In his garden?

Did the plant cover something relevant? Yes! Uncover it? No. Was the plant on Floyd's garden? No. Was the plant very high from the ground? Yes. Was it used as a border with the neighbors? Possibly. Has Floyd got neighbors? Irr. If he has, would the puzzle work even if he had not? Yes, irr. Are the leaves of the plant relevant? Yes....is the plant legal by itself? Yes. Are we talking about a potted plant? A tree plant? Most likely this. A cactus? Kind of plant relevant? Exact species irr.

Floyd's crime = a minor crime? I'd say yes--by itself it's a misdemeanor, and most people who do it are not caught. Did he steal something? No. Is his crime connected to something he had in his house? In his garden? No to both.

Tv cables relevant? Parabolas relevant? Wi-fi? Internet connection? Did it cover sun? Did it cover something up high right? And covering it Floyd had been discovered because: even if the something was covered Floyd was able to do something relevant for which legally the something covered is needed? (A little bit convoluted...hope it is clear) because the coverage of the sonething uncovered sonething else? Was sonething build on the tree? Did the something covered by the tree belong to Floyd's house? Solar panels relevant?

Tv cables relevant? Parabolas relevant? Wi-fi? Internet connection? Did it cover sun? No to these.
Did it cover something up high right? DOYD of high...higher than head height. And covering it Floyd had been discovered because: even if the something was covered Floyd was able to do something relevant for which legally the something covered is needed? (A little bit convoluted...hope it is clear) Do you mean--would his act be legal if the thing was uncovered? If so, no. because the coverage of the sonething uncovered sonething else? No. Was sonething build on the tree? No. Did the something covered by the tree belong to Floyd's house? No. Solar panels relevant? No.

Can we assume it is a palm tree?
Floyd's crime = something that could be done inside the house? In the garden of the house? Spaces of the house relevant? In growing, did also the roots of the tree relevantly grow? Are pipes involved here? Was the thing covered a part of Floyd's house? A window? A door? A wall?

Is the fact that the plant grew itself a witness of Floyd's crime (in the sense that "had Floyd not committed the crime the plant would have not grown that much?)?

Did the plant cover another plant? Vegetable garden relevant? Were the leaves of the plant that covered the other relevant thing? Other parts of the plant? Relevant? Did the grown up of the plant evidence some contrast at a first glance for instance in the colors of the house? Some incoherence in the making of the house?
Did it evidence that something was higher than a certain treshold (than the head height?)?

Did the plant cover text? Is a shadow relevant? If the landcaper had worked, would the plant have been cut down? Trimmed? Moved? Did Floyd count on the landscaper working, when planning his crime?

Can we assume it is a palm tree? Possible, but I think some deciduous trees would work better.
Floyd's crime = something that could be done inside the house? In the garden of the house? Not really. Spaces of the house relevant? No. In growing, did also the roots of the tree relevantly grow? No. Are pipes involved here? No. Was the thing covered a part of Floyd's house? A window? A door? A wall? No to all.

Is the fact that the plant grew itself a witness of Floyd's crime (in the sense that "had Floyd not committed the crime the plant would have not grown that much?)? No, interesting thought.

Did the plant cover another plant? No. Vegetable garden relevant? No. Were the leaves of the plant that covered the other relevant thing? Yes. Other parts of the plant? Relevant? Could be branches too, irr. Did the grown up of the plant evidence some contrast at a first glance for instance in the colors of the house? No. Some incoherence in the making of the house? No.
Did it evidence that something was higher than a certain treshold (than the head height?)? No.

Did the plant cover text? Yes. Is a shadow relevant? No. If the landcaper had worked, would the plant have been cut down? Trimmed? This. Moved? and/or this. Did Floyd count on the landscaper working, when planning his crime? No.

So cover text = it covered a writing? Like a relevant part of a word? Did it reveal something relevant? Did it cover a symbol? Did it cover something on the side of Floyd's house? On the side of the street? Did the tree not allow Floyd to commit the crime? Had Floyd the intention to put something above the tree and the fact that it grew up made it visible from the street? Was Floyd intentioned to make a writing visible from the street but the tree did not allowed it? Adress number relevant? Name on the bell relevant?

Is the crime related to: electricity/water any source of energy? Stealing something? Not pay taxes? Fool some passers?

So cover text = it covered a writing? Yes, but more than just this. Like a relevant part of a word? Not like this. Did it reveal something relevant? No. Did it cover a symbol? Possibly. Did it cover something on the side of Floyd's house? No. On the side of the street? Yes. Did the tree not allow Floyd to commit the crime? No. Had Floyd the intention to put something above the tree and the fact that it grew up made it visible from the street? Is the crime related to: electricity/water any source of energy? Stealing something? Not pay taxes? Fool some passers? No to these. Though it is illegal, I'm afraid that thinking of it as a "crime" might throw you off.

And actually, Earnest, on further reflection I think it might not be illegal where you are. Sorry to mislead!

Oh ok then...no probs :) so the tree was covering a wtiting on the side of the street...so like a street sign? Did it cover a mirror? Something regarding the street rules? Some billboard? Advertisement? An adress? A sign referred to Floyd's private property? To parking? Did it cover the writing partially? Completely? A relevant part of it? Was it visible/understandable from the street? To drivers? If not, did it cause the embaracement of Floyd? If so, same question.

Did Floyd live near a relevant place?

Was the writing graffiti?

Did Floyd put the writing there? or did someone else put it there, but the fact that someone might think he wrote it reflected badly on him? Would he have erased/painted over the writing if he knew it was there, but the plant blocked his view of it so he was unaware?

Did the tree covered actually a street sign? Parking ban? Is the writing a ban to do something that is instead done because the ban is not visible? Did the coverqge of the writing cause F to give explanations? To avoid something to happen? To move? Not to do something freely in his house? Outside? P.s. we are talking about F's house right? I mean..his first house? Did the coverage of the writing caused him to answer the bell more often? Was it covered a signal? Was the writing a warning? A phone number? An announcement (like house on sell...)? Something else?

If it covered a street sign...was it an usual street sign? Was it mainly adressed to vehicle on the street? Veihcle parking near F's house? Vehicles in general? Passers? Did it involve some relevant symbol? Symbol of animals? Usual symbols of street signs? Are alarms relevant? Noises in general? Is the embarassement of F mainly during nights? All the day? When there are passers? Trash relevant? Is it like a permanent sign? A sign to tell someone to bring the trash? A sign for someone to do something? Relevant where he lived? ...I was thinking something like he lived in an house in California on a beach and the sign is telling people that the beach is not a nudist beach...xD

Did he look for the writing? Did he claim there was no writing? Tht there was different writing? No to all.

Did the tree covered actually a street sign? Yes. Parking ban? No. Is the writing a ban to do something that is instead done because the ban is not visible? No.
Did the coverqge of the writing cause F to give explanations? To avoid something to happen? To move? Not to do something freely in his house? Outside? No to all.
P.s. we are talking about F's house right? No, his house is not involved. I mean..his first house? Did the coverage of the writing caused him to answer the bell more often? No. Was it covered a signal? Was the writing a warning? A phone number? An announcement (like house on sell...)? Something else? This.

If it covered a street sign...was it an usual street sign? Typical in many places, yes. Was it mainly adressed to vehicle on the street? Veihcle parking near F's house? Vehicles in general? No to all. Passers? Possibly. It provides information to people. Did it involve some relevant symbol? There is likely a symbol, not super relevant. Symbol of animals? No. Usual symbols of street signs? DOYD. Are alarms relevant? Noises in general? No.
Is the embarassement of F mainly during nights? All the day? When there are passers? No to all, FA I think. Trash relevant? No. Is it like a permanent sign? Yes. A sign to tell someone to bring the trash? No. A sign for someone to do something? It does not instruct people to do something, but might cause them to do something.
Relevant where he lived? ...I was thinking something like he lived in an house in California on a beach and the sign is telling people that the beach is not a nudist beach...xD Haha, no. You are OTRT in the sense that he does something inappropriate, because he doesn't see the sign.

***********************************RECAP

Because a landscaper was not working, a tree grew and covered an informational street sign. Neither Floyd, the plant nor the landscaper are at Floyd's house, in his yard or his neighbors'. Because the sign was covered, Floyd committed an inappropriate action that caused him to be embarrassed.

His action is illegal or of questionable legality in many areas. The illegal action is not directly related to the plant or its growth. The sign is a type that usually contains words and symbols, and is not directed toward drivers.
