Many years = less than 10? less than 50? less than 100? more than that?

Is the woman famous?
Religion relevant? Is she a patron saint of lovers or something like that? Superstitions relevant? Is sending her Valentine's Day cards considered to be good luck?

Are people actually sending cards addressed to the fictional Juliet? To others named Juliet? To people performing as, or otherwise representing Juliet? To other girls, but using language that Romeo used?

Are specifics of the Shakespeare story relevant? Locations relevant?

Are the Valentines sent in the mail? If so, to Verona?

Is a school project involved? A theater? An activist/awareness organization? Is someone trying to make a point? Is anyone being tricked or scammed?

WAG: Printing samples relevant? For example, a company makes personalized Valentines, and on their sample they use the name Juliet?

((EDIT because I embarrassingly mis-remembered where R&J takes place ))

Sorry for the delay - I forgot about this one!

*******************************$POILER*********************************

In the 1970's, a school in Salisbury, UK studied the play 'Romeo and Juliet' and staged it at the end of the year to the parents and other students. As part of their English lessons, they were set homework to write letters and/or Valentines cards to Romeo or Juliet, imagining themselves as the other partner. Unbeknownst to their teacher, some of them sent their cards to Verona. (I was one of them).

It turns out, they were not the first to do this: https://www.npr.org/2013/04/16/177027206/letters-of-heartbreak-find-some-love-in-verona-italy?t=1554498471197

I had not expected this to be solved so quickly! Thanks everyone.
