[Hobbsicle] Borderline

Postby Hobbsicle » Wed Jul 31, 2019 8:46 pm

A woman in good spirits waits at the train station on her way to go shopping by herself. As soon as the train arrives and the doors open, though she does not recognize anyone, she begins to cry. Why?

Does she cry because she is happy? Sad? Scared? Exposed to an irritant?

Is it relevant what she intends to shop for? She intends to shop by herself, but is she waiting by herself?

Does she cry because of something she saw? Someone? Something she didn't see? Someone? Did the triggering event happen only after the doors opened? Did she come to a realisation (perhaps because something has now been cast in a new light or a new piece of information has been revealed)?

Was the train full of sliced onions? Did she anticipate that she might cry? Did she end up going on the shopping trip as planned? Did she only pretend to be crying?

Time or location relevant? Does the train make a relevant sound? Is there an annoucement over a tannoy? Is the destination or departure point of the train relevant? Is their any relevant advertising on the train or platform?
