[Hobbsicle] Borderline

Postby Hobbsicle » Wed Jul 31, 2019 8:46 pm

A woman in good spirits waits at the train station on her way to go shopping by herself. As soon as the train arrives and the doors open, though she does not recognize anyone, she begins to cry. Why?

Does she cry because she is happy? Sad? Scared? Exposed to an irritant?

Is it relevant what she intends to shop for? She intends to shop by herself, but is she waiting by herself?

Does she cry because of something she saw? Someone? Something she didn't see? Someone? Did the triggering event happen only after the doors opened? Did she come to a realisation (perhaps because something has now been cast in a new light or a new piece of information has been revealed)?

Was the train full of sliced onions? Did she anticipate that she might cry? Did she end up going on the shopping trip as planned? Did she only pretend to be crying?

Billboards relevant? Relevant the reason why she was at the train station? Relevant where she was before? Did she want to take a train? Did she omow someone working on the train? Railroader? Controller? Others? Relevant the previous stops of the train? Did she deduce something from the emptiness of the train? Was it the last train of the day? Was the train a train that is scheduled every day? Does she see the train arrive every day? Was it a special day? Did other trains relevantly arrive? Was she interested in that train particularly? Was it a terminus? Or a passing train station? Was the train station near her house? Did she already take a train? Did she look for someone in the train?

Did she cry of: desperation? Happiness? Relief? Others? Did she cry because of something related to her making shopping after? Did she go shopping after she cried? Relevant?

Was the announcement about trains? A change on the platform? On schedule? About strikes? About her? Marriage proposal? Flash mob?

Was the message about something that had happened to the place she was heading to? Or not directly related, but she understood it would affect this?
