Postby rosetinted » Tue Dec 31, 2019 1:25 pm

Hi rose!

Important = in a sentimental sense? Important like "necessary"? Him and he = the same HAM? Did he make a promise to someone? Did someone gave him the semothing important? If so, did he make a promise to the someone who gave him the object? If so did he/she know that he lost the something important?

Something lost = an object? Tangible object? Intangible object? Dis he lose something concerning with: food? Money? Jewelery? A piece of paper? Glasses? Tools? A recipe? A book? Dishes? Chairs?

Would he have fulfilled the bet without having lost the something important? Without preparing the strange meal? Would the meal be difned "strange" had he not lost the something important?

Strange = was the preparation unusual? with unusual ingredients? With unusual foods? Served in an unusual timing? Served in a strange order (e.g. before dessert and then first course?)? A buffet? Did the meal have more dishes? Did he prepare it in a restaurant? In a home? Relevant?

Bet = to make a meal? To prepare a meal to someone special? To prepare a special dish? To serve someone? Last meal relevant?

Hi rose! Howdy!

Important = in a sentimental sense? No Important like "necessary"? Yes Him and he = the same HAM? Yes Did he make a promise to someone? No Did someone gave him the semothing important? No If so, did he make a promise to the someone who gave him the object? If so did he/she know that he lost the something important?

Something lost = an object? Tangible object? This Intangible object? Dis he lose something concerning with: food? Money? Jewelery? A piece of paper? Glasses? Tools? A recipe? A book? Dishes? Chairs? No to all

Would he have fulfilled the bet without having lost the something important? Nope Without preparing the strange meal? Nope Would the meal be difned "strange" had he not lost the something important? Yes

Strange = was the preparation unusual? with unusual ingredients? Yes, no to rest With unusual foods? Served in an unusual timing? Served in a strange order (e.g. before dessert and then first course?)? A buffet? Did the meal have more dishes? No Did he prepare it in a restaurant? In a home? This Relevant? Important like "necessary"? Yes --> necessary to survive? To see? To eat? To hear? To cook? Bigger than a volleyball ball? An every day object? Technology relevant? Internet? Headphones? Clothing?

Relevant how he lost the object? While cooking? Before the bet? After? Did he discover immediately to have lost the object? Is it an object easy to lose? Easy to be replaced? Customized? Specific for each person?

Are ingredients common ones (commonly found in suoermarkets?)? Easy to find? Are they usually associated in the same dish? Associated together? Eaten? Eaten after being cooked? Are the ingredients strange as "row materials"? Did the fact that he lost the object allow him to prepare the strange meal? To buy the strange ingredients (e.g. he lost his wallet so that he should have cooked the meal with what he had in his house)?

Relevant with who he made the bet? A relative? A friend? His wife? His daughter/son? A collegue? Someone working in the food industry? Did he make the bet because he lost the something?

Any of these relevant: allergies? Vegan/vegetarians? Intolerance? Ethnic food? Trains/airplanes? Christmas/celebrations? Pairing of the dish with wine?

Is he making the bet to recover the lost item? To replace it?

Is making the dish the extent of the bet? Is he going to eat the dish? If so, is his eating it the bet? Will he serve it to someone else? If so, to the person he made the bet with?

The lost object: does everyone have one of these? Or most people? Is it a body part? Something you typically wear or carry with you? Keys?

Is he making the bet to recover the lost item? To replace it? No to both

Is making the dish the extent of the bet? Is he going to eat the dish? Yes If so, is his eating it the bet? Part of it Will he serve it to someone else? If so, to the person he made the bet with? Yes - they're sharing it (and this is the other part of the bet.)

The lost object: does everyone have one of these? Yes (discounting deformities, I guess) Or most people? Is it a body part? Yes Something you typically wear or carry with you? Keys?

Cannibalism relevant? May I invoke the list of body parts? Are such parts usually lost by humans (e.g. sweat? Tears?)

SPOILER
A guy has his injured foot chopped off after an accident, the doctor allows him to keep it, and he makes a bet with his friends to make and eat tacos with the meat. Whoever chickens out loses the bet. Story shamelessly stolen from Reddit.

Nice one, and welcome to the forum!

(And you're not the only one who shamelessly swipes from Reddit...)

If he went through with it, he would have been one of few people to literally put his foot in his mouth!
