[hoodie] Buzzed

Postby hoodie » Mon Dec 14, 2020 1:26 am

Sometimes, after I get into bed at night, I get back out of bed briefly. Last night, I almost did this, but then I considered the fact that I was slightly drunk.
So I stayed in bed. Why?

Hi, Hoodie!

Do you get out of bed to do some relevant activity? Is whether or not you do this activity conditional on some factor? And does being drunk lead you to believe that this factor applies when it, in fact, does not?

Did you intend to go somewhere? To leave your bedroom? To go to some other room? Were you in fact in your bedroom?

WAG: Did you need to go to the bathroom, but only slightly, and decided to wait to go so that you wouldn't have to get up and go again a second time?

Do you leave to check on something? Perform some personal care activity (toilet visit, midnight snack)? Is anyone else involved?

Are you at home?

If so, are you going to:
- The hall?
- Bathroom?
- Kitchen?
- Living room?
- Outside?
- Basement?

Did you hear a relevant noise?

Lights?

Would you have to adjust a switch?

Is it for your own comfort? That of others? Would the issue be obvious to anyone else in your situation?

JenBurdoo:

Lights? Would you have to adjust a switch? No to both

Is it for your own comfort? If "peace of mind" meets the definition of "comfort", then yes

That of others? No

Would the issue be obvious to anyone else in your situation? Yes, although if the person didn't have a certain issue that I have, they would be unlikely to find themselves in this situation.
