We both started from the same point and went directly to the same destination but I went further than you. Why?

Point: on earth? Point in space? In time? A non-spatial point? Such as starting on the same point in life? With the same knowledge?
Directly: using the shortest route? Taking the least time? Going in the straightest line? Is the curvature of the earth relevant? Vehicles involved? Did "I" go farhter than "you" because it took a longer route? Because "I" overshot the destination? Did "I" go farher before reaching the destination? After? Is "I" H? A? M? Is "you" H? A? M?

Started = to walk? To run? To descend? To ascend (e.g. elevator vs stairs that go around the elevator)?
Did you go to the same destination arriving at the same time? If so because one was faster than the other? One before the other?
Hills/mountains relevant?
Are starting point and destination distant one to another? Do they coincide (e.g. they go straight on earth which is round...)?

So, sorry, yes to ascend or also to elevator vs stairs in the third question?

Ascend = are gym's tools relevant? E.g. conveyor belt/stairs put at a certain slope? And maybe destination = reaching a certain goal (number of miles walked)?
We can assume same speed right? So is one step of A = one step of B in terms of distance travelled? (On the contrary for instance A is shorter than B so that a single step of B coincides with 2 steps of A) If so, is the difference in the path followed by one of the two (e.g. A) with respect to B? Do they walk on something steep? If so, same steepness for the two? relevant? Are astronauts relevant? Laws of physics? Did they make many steps from their starting point to their destination?
Did they ascend: a natural slope? Did they walk inside something that was ascending to the sky? Did they jump? Did they ascend in altitude? From the level of the sea?

Earnest,
So, sorry, yes to ascend
YES
or also to elevator vs stairs in the third question?
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? THEY BOTH TOOK THE SAME METHOD - STAIRS OR ELEVATOR DOES NOT MATTER.
Ascend = are gym's tools relevant? E.g. conveyor belt/stairs put at a certain slope? And maybe destination = reaching a certain goal (number of miles walked)?
NO
We can assume same speed right?
YES - BUT DOES NOT MATTER. IT IS DISTANCE THAT IS PERTINENT.
So is one step of A = one step of B in terms of distance travelled?
IRRELEVANT
(On the contrary for instance A is shorter than B so that a single step of B coincides with 2 steps of A) If so, is the difference in the path followed by one of the two (e.g. A) with respect to B?
THEY BOTH WENT FROM POINT A TO POINT B BY THE SAME ROUTE BUT ONE WENT FURTHER
Do they walk on something steep? If so, same steepness for the two? relevant?
NO OR IRRELEVANT
Are astronauts relevant?
NO
Laws of physics?
YES - ISH
Did they make many steps from their starting point to their destination?
YES OR IRRELEVANT
Did they ascend: a natural slope?
NO
Did they walk inside something that was ascending to the sky?
IN A SENSE YES
Did they jump?
NO
Did they ascend in altitude?
YES
From the level of the sea?
NO

Did the one that went further make more miles than the other? Are units of measurament relevant? Did A objectively walked more than B? Travelled more than B? Had a longer journey? Gravity relevant?
Had they walked hand in hand would A have walked further than B?
Can we assume that A and B started from the same point at the same time? Or did they travel in different time periods?
Did they walk inside something that was ascending to the sky? IN A SENSE YES --> but is not a vehicle right? So can we assume an elevator? Firemens ladder? Does the something take a lot to go up? Does it go up in the sky? For an altitude higher than a rooftop? Higher than a baobab tree? Does it also go down after a while? Relevant?
rollercoaster? Are ferris wheels relevant? Amousement parks?
Is it something like: they both took an elevator which went from a starting point to a destination. But A walked inside the elevator while B did not so that A went further than B because he also walked?

Are they ascending a building? Structure? Mountain? Hill? WAG: are they walking up a spiral staircase, but one hugs the center while another follows the circumference?

Gravity relevant?
NO
Had they walked hand in hand would A have walked further than B?

Does it go up in the sky?
BE MORE SPECIFIC
For an altitude higher than a rooftop?
YES
Higher than a baobab tree?
YES
Does it also go down after a while? Relevant?
YES, NO
rollercoaster? Are ferris wheels relevant? Amousement parks?
NO

Did they walk to the elevator? In the elevator? From the elevator? Did one walk a greater distance than the other? Travel by mechanical means a greater distance than the other? Is the one distance greater than the other by: angstroms? Millimeters? Meters? Kilometers? Did the one person intend to travel a longer distance? Were they competing? WAG: did they walk up an escalator, but one went on the "up" escaltor, and the other went on the "down" escalator?

Is the starting point the floor ground? If not, relevant?
Did one of the two stop before reaching the destination and continue through the stairs? Maybe because before the elevator arrive up to a certain floor?
Did the one who made a further distance take the elevator before the other? If so years before? Hours? Seconds? Days? Same q. for the one who made a shorter distance, please.
Did the building undergo to relevant modifications in the meantime? It grew in height (e.g. they both wanted to reach the last floor which before was the 3rd for instance and after the 5th)? The elevator changed relevantly? Is the difference in distance mainly in height?

EARNEST,
Is the starting point the floor ground?
YES
Did one of the two stop before reaching the destination and continue through the stairs? Maybe because before the elevator arrive up to a certain floor?
BOTH TOOK EXACTLY THE SAME ROUTE
Did the one who made a further distance take the elevator before the other?
POSSIBLY BEFORE OR AFTER
If so years before? Hours? Seconds? Days?
MONTHS
Same q. for the one who made a shorter distance, please.
SAME ANSWERS
Did the building undergo relevant modifications in the meantime?
NO
It grew in height (e.g. they both wanted to reach the last floor which before was the 3rd for instance and after the 5th)?
NO FLOORS OR MODIFICATIONS WERE ADDED.
The elevator changed relevantly?
NO
Is the difference in distance mainly in height?
YES

Is the height of the individuals relevant? Is there an obstacle for either of them getting either into or out of the elevator? If so, for "I"? For "you"? Are both people able to walk unaided?
Is the title a clue?

Did their entire bodies travel different distances? Only part of them? WAG: was one carrying something heavy, and by putting it down and straightening out everything from the torso and up got elevated a few cm?

Had it been the same person taking the elevator months later, would the puzzle still work? Did something relevant happen in the months after the first person took the elevator? Natural events? Terrorist attacks? Wars? Others (redefinition of rules/signs/symbols)?
Is Tour Eiffel relevant? France? E.g. iron that stretches...something similar?
Is the overall height of the building relevant? their clothing? weight?
Are the more centimeters gained when the elevator stops? When it goes up? Both?

Does the structure expand as the weather warms, meaning a greater travel distance?

* * * SPOILER * * *
Trebor,
Does the structure expand as the weather warms, meaning a greater travel distance?
Correct. The Eiffel Tower in Paris is some 15 cm higher in mid-summer compared to mid-winter. So the same journey is 15 cm longer.
