[WiZ] Acknowledged by the knowledge college

A young woman applies to her dream college and gets accepted. However, this makes her furious. Why?

ROIMBT (and a little sketchy, even by that standard). Caveat Earlispoilor.

Furious that she got accepted? Or furious for some other reason? Did they send her a conventional acceptance letter in the mail? Via email? Website click thing to check? Did they send it too late for her to do anything about it? Was there something about the letter itself that made her furious?

Ok not very aware of the acceptance peocedure in the States....but....can we assume that she knew that she has been accepted before the beginning of the academic year? I mean, no delays involved nor acceptance letters lost and found later on nor other situations of this type?
Or maybe she was accepted but she had already applied to another college? Did she have more than a dream college?

Can we assume that she had no impediments in going to her dream college once she got accepted? Once she knew that she got accepted?

Did she apply for a college in the States? If not, did she have burocratic problems?
Did she get furious because she got accepted? (E.g. she knew to have done a bad test but she was famous/ had relevant parents that made huge donations and got accepted as well...this would make me furious...) did she get furious because she got accepted but her boyfriend/ best friend did not and they had to separate? Was it the first time that she applied there?

To be sure...she got accepted as a student right? Did she get furious soon after receiving the letter of acceptance? Before moving to the college? Once she moved there? She got accepted in a discipline that she disliked?
War times relevant? Duties of students relevant (e.g. she could not take part to the war because she was a student)? Can we assume modern times? Motivarions for her acceptance relevant?

Was she furious because something bad had happened? A mistake had been made? A crime committed? Did she apply knowing she should not have been accepted? Bribery relevant?

Is someone else involved? Boyfriend? Friend? Relative?
Did the someone else also apply for the same college? Had been accepted? Relevantly refused to go there? Was jealous of her? Something illegal going on? Was the someone else already in the college (e.g. he/she was older) Was she accused of favoritism?

Is faculty choice relevant? Can I invoke the list? (E.g. she applied to a certain faculty but the someone else had made an higher score in that discipline; or maybe someone else got accepted without any effort? Everyone was accepted? Something relevant happened that made her acceptance look insignificant/not relevant?) did she have to renounce to something relevant? Something happened that she did not expect? Are test results relevant at all? Does her boyfriend ask to marry and she had to make a choice?

Did she have a twin? E.g. names were confused in the letter of acceptance (for instance she wanted to preserve the letter but she could not because names were confused)? Was something written in the letter of acceptance that made her furious? Something written on her letter? On the letter of someone else? Wrong address relevant?
Was she accepted thanks to a relevant mistake?

Is the particular content of the letter of acceptance relevant?

Did they mix up her and her twin? Was her twin male? Female? Relevant? Was some relevant detail of their applications different? Their grades? Their extracirriculars? Some other part of their resume?

Was she angry because her sister did not get accepted? Did some criteria get applied to her that wasn't applied to her twin?

To rule out a classic staple , were they conjoined?

Are they siamese twins? So she got accepted, her sister was not and hence they could have not gone to her dream college...

***** SPOILER *****

This allegedly happened with the American conjoined twins Abigail and Brittany Hensel. They both applied to the same college and made it clear that they were a package deal, for obvious reasons. One of them received a rejection letter, followed immediately by the other one being accepted.

Congratulations to Peter and Earnest on the solution, which, upon reflection, is indeed one of the oldest lateral tricks in the book. Still, it ran for over 10 posts, which makes it a long-runner by my standards.
